Here's your spot to throw out ideas on logo designs for the forum. I'd like to incorporate a style of text, a logo, and a color scheme across all areas, including stickers, license plate frames, and the design and color scheme of the forum itself. Try to work with designs that use line art without a lot of colors so they can be used easily in many situations (plate frames, vinyl, etc).
And yeah, suggest some color schemes for the site (and text/logo too).

Thats about it, post away and we'll work towards something awesome.

I do like the second one though- that's pretty cool. I'm going to shut up now since I am artistically inept.

I like this idea for a personal number sticker, like SQC. Obviously a little cleaner and with the individual number in it, not 009(mine).

Tim, I think the lines under the "S" and inside the "S" should be a tad thicker. It is kind of hard to pick the "S" out if you look quickly. :partyman:

these are looking really cool guys, thanks for giving it a shot. just remember it needs to have a very basic color scheme if its going to work as a sticker or on a license plate frame. ideally we'll use the same logo everywhere so thats why i'm trying to find something that will work on every application. for example, midgets's looks sweet, but we wouldnt be able to make vinyl like that (or if so it would be expensive and difficult). jaster's is two color and would work better for that sort of thing. and of course a single color works well too.
i'm all about keeping it simple and clean actually so i'd personally be in favor of a single color sticker that we could have printed in white, silver, or whatever else and it will be able to flow with the car thats its on.
bryan
p.s. i do like the serialized idea if anyone wants to play with that design a bit more. if you do, please add (www.)tristatetuners.com underneath of it pretty small. like you see the tst009 from a distance, and if you're curious and want to look closer then you'll be able to read the (www.)tristatetuners.com

I realize that this
http://www.nemesismotorsport.com/images/TSTbanner2.jpg

wouldn't make a good sticker. But if we made stickers out of this

i like aaron's tst idea as well, but am concerned that the letters tst wont read too easily to someone who doesnt know what to expect it to say already (any non members). think there's any way to make them read more easily?
also, what are everyone's thoughts on having a squarish or tall sticker on their car? i dont know if these are destined for rear windows or the back window, but thats another thing to think about. i was originally thinking a horizontally formated sticker, but if people are down with vertical then that works too.

I think horizontially would be cool. . . .or maybe something simple that could be left small in a vertical format. That's the only thing I worry about with aaron's. . . it's kinda hard to make that smaller and still keep the same level of detail. . . . .or something

alright, whats the deal with the individual numbers. Are we going to be asigned them, or are we going to beable to pick our own. Should somone start a tread so each user can register their own number? the reason i ask..i go to ewing high, and i have a friend that goes to votec. He said he could whip me up a couple stickers.

Eh, I just don't like the number idea overall. A simple sticker naming the site is fine, and will be cheaper that numerous unique individual logos. If we all have a www.tristatetuners.com decal it will help to promote the site. If we all have individual stickers (TST01, TST84, TST39) it doesn't tell anyone that happens to see the sticker what it means, unless they ask.

I dunno, if you guys want #'s go for it. I just want a clean, simple decal to help spread teh TST love.

TehWagon
05-13-2005, 10:18 AM
Agreed with both. I think we should have tst.com stickers, but i also like the ideas of numbered stickers like the new york guys have. MAYYYYYYBEEE what we could so is decide on a general logo design for the numbered logo, and we could all take them to our respective decal shop and get them made individually. Then we could all just chip in for the tristatetuner.com stickers. Kapich?

the mike
05-13-2005, 10:23 AM
Like it's been said, we all want TriStateTuners.com stickers.
I think the individual numbers are for our own benefit and satisfaction.
On the odd chance I spot "TST244" somewhere I could look up their member number.
I also like being the only one of something, like TST009.

I don't think the number idea is very good. Not only is it going to cost more becuase each sticker has to be made one at a time, but also some people will not like the fact that they are number XX out of XX.

One thing to note....black is definitely not the ideal color for these, considering that most people want to put them on a window, and a lot of us have dark tint. The black just disappears.
