Ok, the time has come to get insurance. Now I'm left with the decision of who to go with. I'm going to pull the policy on the S12 since its goin to be parked until march.
I was thinking of trying Safe Auto but I found a page that has steered me in the other direction. I have progressive but they wanted 350/Mo just for minimum coverage. of coarse that was both cars but still.
I need ideas, experiences good and bad, and price comparisons. Please help out, I want to read some stories and make my decision and get it Today.

Statefarm. My agent hooked me up bigtime. I can PM you his # if you want. I had allstate and shopped progressive, and geico. No one could beat statefarm for me.

I used to have USAA, you have to be government to get it though, unless he has a parent or somebody that is in their system. I actually dropped my USAA auto policy and went with Geico, saved me around $110/mo! Still have them for renters insurance though......im waiting til my laptop starts geeking and then drop it and have them replace it, w00t!

i use njcure, but will be switching to state farm this time around... insurance rates should start to drop for some people, but go up for others as more and more companies base premiums off of credit reports.

I've been with allstate since I started. I've got a home as well as two cars on my policy, so no one could touch their rates.
Even though Geiko has a gecko that can do the robot, 15 minutes didn't save me 15% on my car insurance.

With no incidents, Geico was cheaper. Progressive was the cheapest for me overall. Allstate was ridiculously high even though their homeowner's insurance was the cheapest. And even if I went with their mutli-car discount and homeowner's policy disount they were still almost double Progressive.

I pay $140/month for:
95' GSX
88' Blazer K5
Renter's Insurance
On Sale

i pay $0 a month for
no car
no house
no renters insurance
But yea, on a more serious note. When i was with GMAC i was paying 3100 a year for my 97 gsx with full coverage, 8 points and one suspension, one accident (NOW 2 damnit!!) .. NO DUI's hahah, im the king! actually i just dont drive drunk. but yea. When i was with Erie, and i had my 97 talon i was only paying $900 a year liability!!! of course i had no tickets and nothing. but now when i shop for insurance on my next car, i know to drop my pants and bend over, because where ever i go is gonna rap me in the butt... ha
