I'm attacking version 2 of my custom gauge cluster for my Ls6 240sx. JDM Will hooked me up with an OEM S13 cluster. I have since then taken apart and made a template of it with my gauge circles drawn onto it. I would like to take it to someone who can scan it and cut it into a pice of 1/8 metal or 2mm carbon fiber board.

I dont know who does this, or what it cost but I know it can be done. Please let me know if you know anyone. I dont think I can neatly do it with a roto zip.

I could see if I could get some time on our cnc, it's not the cleanest cutting machine since it's plasma and doesn't like aluminum. If you're doing metal you're better off with something with a lighter gauge.

I work for S&W race cars and we can do it at our shop with our water jet and it can be made out of any material you want

Very nice, Any idea what this may cost? Its the shape 3 gauge holes (1 3/38, 2 52mm) and the 2 turn signal holes?

like i said give sal a call he can probably get you in the ball park of what it would cost he can give you an idea of what the material costs would be and the hourly rate for the water jet

I spoke with him. I just have to clean up the drawing some. But I don't have a scanner long enough to scan the entire image. Anyone have a flat bed scanner 16 inchs long? Or one that feed in? If so can someone scan it for me?

cut/scan the piece in half and join them in photoshop....just mark the union.

I'm doing or started doing the same thing for my cluster in the rx7 for when I do the ls1 swap. I just used some mdf as a template , made all my cuts, then got a CF sheet from ebay. Then I will use the mdf template to make cuts in the cf, it should be easy enough if you take your time, plus depending on what gauges you are using, the ring around the face of the gauge will hide any imperfections. The CF sheet was like 30 bucks and I don't see it taking longer than an hour or 2.

Yeah definetely, just bring some beer and its cool, I'm sure I can use your help with ls1 stuff down the road when I do my swap. Pm me for my number, ill be doing car **** all weekend and I'm like 5 minutes away from the northeast.
