fiero b/c they make a ton of kits for them... my personal favorite being the GT40 body kit :)

another reason why i like them so much. im not doing a full kit on mine but diffrent bumpers side skirts i know its a classic rice body kit but when you do a body kit on them its one of thes rare cars that its able to change the whole car.

rx7 is not a two seater...

at least, the rear seats were an option on the 2nd gen according to: http://www.mazdamark.com/about_the_s5_fc.htm

MR2, its not that i dont like fierros, I just like MR2s better. U dont have to make it a ferrari, it can just be a fast MR2 and will get plenty of respect.

AND btw..by kit car I dont mean the factory five cobra kit car. I mean taking a fiero, and making it look like a ferrari. Or taking a miata, and making it look like an Aston Marton. "kit cars" are differant from "replica"

replica's are still kit cars... more so a kit car than adding body panels to a car...

i still don't see the hate... if its tastefully done, who cares... if you don't like it, shut your trap, someone put in a lot of hard work to cleanly, and properly, build the car... if **** is falling off, yeah, its just a POS... but if everything is tight, in place, professionally painted... more power to them... it'll never be the care its trying to replicate, but whoooo cares.

I met a guy with a fiero w/ a chevy small block in the back and a GT40 body kit. it was a little beat up, but all well done. and the only reason it was beat up was because he tracked the car... a lot... and it did very well with the more aerodynamically designed kit than the base fiero body.

they make aston martin kits for the miata?

Haha, a factory 5 Cobra is not one of those types of kit cars. In the same way that an evo or a supra is not a "ricer" in the derogatory sense, where as an old pos civic with a fart can is. The factory 5 cobras are legit, and in many ways they are better than the original cobras. I love them.

And as far as the ferrari replicas go, my basic rule is if the car is a replica, then it must be just as fast as the real thing for it to have my respect. Many Fierros have ferrari 308 body kits, and are actually faster than a 308. Therefore making them ok by me. just my to Lincolns though.

And yes, I agree that if anyone even proposes a fwd mid engined car at a product development meeting, someone should bust out a shotty and make them shut their mouth before the people around them loose any more of their intellect.

And that Aston Miaton looks like absolute sh*t and i hope the guy drives it off a cliff.

MR2. The handling/weight distribution to me is more fun than a Miata, and the Fiero is well... old and I don't like the interiors at all. I also feel that the parts range and availability, aftermarket or OEM is wider.

You can find an original turbo in great shape for $5k easily and most of them will run in the 13 second range bone stock. Huge community for MR2s as well. I know there are communities for the Miata and Fiero respectively, but I honestly have never seen anything close to the MR2 community when it comes to info, knowledge and experience.

Miatas are a close second. I wouldn't even bother with a Fiero honestly.... especially because they are known to catch fire.

It's like asking if a typical person should use a Mac, PC, or an etch&sketch...

The miata and MR2 are both very well built and amazingly performing cars.

MR2, maybe a little toyota biased here, but they are fun, great cars imo

Althought never drove a Fiero so other than the way the interior, exterior looks i cant make a flat out desecsion because i never drove one

also when it comes down to it and i might get laughed at by this but if you do a kit car right and it looks like the real thing you your only suposed to go as fast as the limit posted on the street. hranted im doing a cheap rebody on mine 355 front nose V8 archie side skirts and the ferrari taillights but eventuley when i have the money and resources to do it im going to be putting a 3800sc motor in it.

I can't say no to this question obviously, because everyone will throw the BS flag, but honestly I the Miata handling (stock and not stock) is jumpy to me and it doesn't feel as solid as the MR2. The Fiero is similar to the go kart feel, but it's just not as updated as I think someone would want.

they do catch fire but only in the older model ones if you get one 86 and up your safe from fires. one MR2 i would like to get my hands on is one of the older 88 supercharged ones.

Too each their own ya know? thats why cars are great...you can do whatever you'de like with your car/money. The question was asked, and was asked to receive opinions. Thats my opinion. Live with it, argue about it..IDC. Its how I feel. Now, if you show up in a very well executed "kit car" i'll take a look and give you props for a properly done job. It takes a lot of hard work to make them look good. Its just not something I would do. Doesnt make it wrong OR right, just how I feel.

i got ya im not gona argue with your opinion im not even doing a kit because there to damn expensive a full lambo kit is 9k id rather spend 1500 on bumper skirt and light kit have it look close to what i want and throw a bad @$$ motor in there and take it to the track every now and than.

What u say is true in theory, however people who own ferraris dont go the speed limit unless there is heavy traffic or if the 5-0 is on the prowl. There is absolutely no point in buying a ferrari street car unless ur gonna drive it like a damn ferrari. LOL

But yes, if ur car will look like that yellow one in t ur picture (only black) then it should be nice. just plz dont be a poser and put the ferrari badges on it.

And with the 3.8 S/C it should be nice and fast too. it should be a cool car bro, just tread carefully on what u if u dont want ppl to start calling u a poser. But at the end of the day, the real question is....Are u happy with it? b/c thats all that really matters.

I just hate when I see one of these and the owner tries to play it off like its a real ferrari. It is what it is, and thats good enough.

its really a hard decision. ive always liked all 3.

fieros are the **** because of their v8 swapability. also they look really nice. its sorta like a mini american muscle car that can handle

miatas are the **** just because they are a very good and simple FR chassis

i used to be into the mk1 mr2. never really got into the mk2... Jamie's is sick though.

the newer mr2 spider things are totally all out gay though
