MARYLAND GUYS! I need help!

Hello everyone.

I live in Central Jersey at the moment but it seems like I'm going to be moving to Abingdon Maryland.

I need some info in VEHICLE INSPECTION.
i looked on line and it depends on the year of the car.

i have a TII Mazda Rx7
Its RHD converted all tho that shouldn't really matter on inspection would it?

there is no wayyyy my car will pass any kind of SMOG my car shoots 3ft Fireballs from the exhaust.

Are some of the shops Like in Jersey Were $100/175 can pass you no problem?

or are they really strict????

Here's what happens.

Unlike other states, in Maryland you have to have your vehicle smogged at a VEIP station that is paid for and ran by the state. This means you aren't able to pay your local mechanic off to give you a sticker, you get an actual print-out reading that says you passed. Because it is all computerized they can't forge anything to say you passed and it is automatically databased after the test.

Here is how to pass though.

Lower your car ungodly low so there's no way they will consider putting the car on the rollers (they're liable if they damage your car putting it on the rollers). They will tell you to go inside where they will give you a two year exempt waiver. Repeat process as necessary.

Also, in MD 20+ years old vehicles qualify for historic tags which means no emissions or inspection. Just a thought.
