I know there's about a bazillion threads about atco, but I wanted to create one just for tonight so everyone was sure to see it. Mike and I are going, so might be Orbit... not sure who else but I hope to see some of you down there. I'll be teh stock black rex wagon running 16's! :rolleyes:

best r/t was .696; best 60 ft was 2.475...
i was babying it quite a bit off the line though- SO freaked out about the tranny, so i was really goin easy...
we shall see... maybe i can eek out a 14 once the uppipe is in... :driving:

ah ok, i forget how it goes but its something like every .1 seconds of your 60' tranlates to .25 (or something) of your ET. imagine getting a 2.1 or 2.0, which should be possible :)

didnt have that great of a nite. though i have less stuff on my car then i did last year. so my best time was 13.72@98.89 with .204 rt and 1.82 60'.
last year i ran a 13.6.

yeah i'm not really interested in drag racing cause i'm not really interested in launching the hell out of my car, and i'm also not interested in driving it gently and not getting as good of a time as i could. so just to recap, i'm really not interested in drag racing my car.

Hey guys....had a great time at Atco. Nice to finally meet some of you. I got five runs in, could've ran a few more times but I got the time I wanted.

Here's the times:

1st run: 13.851@101.77 / 2.293 1st time launching awd car
2nd run: 13.652@102.45 / 2.171 still babying it
3rd run: 13.023@103.67 / 1.767 went for it 5000rpm drop
4th run: 14.182@98.71 / 1.830 missed 2nd twice
5th run: 13.111@103.67 / 1.815 recovering my pride after missing 2nd

6th run: 12.961@103.68 / 1.738 last and best run f the night 5500rpm drop

Not bad for a stock STi

I had fun too. good turbo weather.there were lots of imports. i beat my best time. ran a 13.07@101 and a 13.1@ 102.41 .... with the stock turbo :supz:

I would have talked to you guys alittle more but encountered a problem.. My car started backing firing and missing after the 5th run. (Scary) EGT's in the 1700'sF

Best run of the night and of the car so far was a 12.1@112mph.

12.9 on a stock STI not to shabby :thumbup:

Nice pictures, my friend was there with his Dodge Ram and ran 17.3. His friend with a Firebird ran 12.9 but I think it blew up on the last run.

The tranny isn't as weak as most people lead it to be. As long as you aren't beating the hell out of it, you'll be ok. The launch isn't bad, you can launch hard without dropping the clutch. It's that 1-2 upshift that can be deadly. ;)
