Recomendations please!!!

I am looking for a removable adhesive that will allow me to attach a mount for my palm (used for GPS) to my dashboard. The trick, it needs to be removable so it won't damage the dash when I take it off.

I tried 3M command adhesive strips, but they do not bond to the dashboard material.

Any suggestions??? :help:

i found some industrial strength velcro at staples that stayed when normal velcro wouldnt... after sitting in the sun it'd fall off. anyways the industrial strength stuck to my radio trim well and came off without leaving a mark, dont know if the dash would be the same or not.

Thanks for the post. I may try some velcro, but i'm afraid it might damage my dash if it does work haha. Goo Gone will take the adhesive off, but the prying may rip the dash.

If you leave any kind of adhesive on the dash for too long it will work it's way into the plastic and leave a permanent mark. Why not just make a bracket for it and slip it in between/under the dash pieces. Or even glue it to your windshield using a bracket and the glue used for rear view mirrors. Don't worry about leaving any marks on your glass. A good razor blade will clean it right up.

If you got adhesive marks on your dash, GooGone worked great for me...i love the stuff, its powerful though so use in moderation

Thanks for the input. I caved and just ordered a window mount. I can't stomach the idea of defacing my dash. I'll use the window mount when necessary and store it when I'm not using it.
