Hey my name's Steph.. I'm from levittown and drive a black mitsubishi spyder... 3rd gen... I'm friend's with the Heather (girl in red supra).. I just put a new exhaust system in it.. i have an new cold air intake... 18" chrome wheels... pink neons underneath, on top of the hood and around the liscense plate... I'm lookin to put a bodykit on it in the spring... leanin towards the blitz kit, but not exactly sure... any suggestions.. hit me up...

I wouldn't say remorse. It's more to do with issues with the way Ripp puts kits together. I don't like the idea that they include cheap parts instead of the proper parts to do the effing job right the first time in the interest of profit margin.

Keep in mind though, at the time I bought my kit, the turbo kits that I linked were not available.

There have been several turbo kits that have come and gone in the 3G scene, DDP, Xtech, and some others I forget. One of the reasons I chose Ripp was because they've been around a long time.

Get with me at a meet and we can talk some more about it. I don't want to whore up this thread too much. :lol:

welcome. you should def go with a ripp s/c or turbo it...either way you will absolutely need a LSD for the additional hp to be used. also what year is the car? 3g eclipses had 3 different styles. i used to have a 2001 myself before i bought the evo.

I have black taillights with chrome rings around the lights if you want them. they would look good on black. Also if it's a pre-2003 model I still have a wings west body kit sitting in my garage, just need to paint it black.

For stage 2 (275-325 whp) , it's a really good idea. For stage 3 (325 + whp) it is definitely a requirement.

If you're going to be tracking the car at all, even oin stake 1, you will need a LSD. I don't see any reasy to boost a car to 250+ if you're not going to track it, therefore LSD is needed.

yeah send me your email address and I will send pics. The tails will accent the chrome trim nicely...Mine is an 04 and I love it. Blitz I think is played out, I would look into some other options, but thats just me.

It also has a lot to do with what type of trans you have. I have the auto/sportronic, and I don't have issues with spinning wheels as long as I drop the tire pressure.

I may pick one up anyway in the interest of strengthening the front end, but it hasn't been high on my list of priorities. If I do get one, I'll be putting on a higher stall torque converter at the same time.

I know what you mean, I rarely ever go there anymore since the split. .com is definitely the better resource now.

About the track...Ugh...don't ask. Only been once. Only got one run. It sucked. I'm hoping to get back again very soon (I would say next week, but I'm out of town till the 30th).

hey i have a black 03 eclipse gt. i started completely stock so i know where ur comin from. but since our cars are sohc theres nuttin u can really do to make your car rip except turbo or sc.

don't forget these cars are notorious for breaking front axles, and transmissions are very expensive...just ask my mom, her 01 spyder GT trans just got smoked @ 76k on the auto/sportronic
