So I left today for work. Driving down my road and come to my first stop. Car died. Strange...Tried to start it and it took 4-5 cranks to start, then it ran perfectly. Got to work, and 10-12 hours later go outside to go home. Its about 25 degrees outside. Start the car warm it up a little and start heading out of the driveway at work. First stop, it dies again. Hmm. 4-5 tries of starting it, it cranks over and runs great. Half way home, my temperature starts rising and its running hot. I eased of the gas a bit, and the temp went back to normal. Got home and parked it. Someone (JKZ) suggested my coolant my have a bad mixture with too much water. What do you guys think? im worried...

check to make sure your fans are plugged in. mine came unplugged and started to overheat. i would drain your coolant and give it a refill. if it keeps happening you might need to check for busted gaskets

checked under oil cap. Oil looks fine, not milky or anything.

I am thinking the two are not related. Just coincidendental.

For the over heating I would first burb the coolant system. Might just be a air pocket in the system.

For the stalling, does the car idle abnormally low when it is first started? Manual trans or auto?

Its a manual trans and when its first started it idles pretty low.

definatly drain coolant (check for oil in coolant or suds) and add in coolant and water about 50/50 purge the air out of your mixture. if the problem pursists maybe wanna pull your plugs and look into the cylinders for coolant. also compression check. fans im not too sure about... does your heat work? if so your fans are plugged in and atleast one is working. on the off chance if you have a lot more water than coolant in your system you may have had some freezing in your block which can crack it

Posting your vitals is key. Each car and model year sometimes have their own quirks.

Coolant level?
SES light lit?
Is the SES light bulb working?
Plug conditions?
Spark during a no start situation?
Fuel pressure?
Does the radiator fan work ?
Any visible coolant leaks?
Compression test results?

The PCV valve is highly unlikely to be the issue.

More diagnosis is needed
