Not to go out on a limb, but I'd guess ITSTOCK with 663rwhp, 803rwtq in the Cobra??

Then there's also:
bad360rt with his low 11s Dodge Dakota R/T
Ryan and his STi
several SRT-4's that I can think of (Tiny has an 11s one).

Dyno said 240hp but if you consider 1/4 mile times. It's about 300whp.

Quarter mile times are not indicitive of whp. A 240whp car can run the same time as a 320whp car.

Stop trying to use the quarter to boost your hp. Go back to the dyno and get it redone if you think it's wrong.

Back on topic...

Stock: 92whp (roughly...92-100 is the real idea)
Now: ???whp (need to tune and dyno)

Alright Clint you caught me. I run 13.65s at 100mph in a car that weighs 3760lbs with only 240hp. Lets think Clint about a Grand Nation. Stock rating is 245hp/300lbs and they run low 14s. Hmm. Really the HP/TQ dyno numbers mean nothing. To mean a 1/4 time means nothing. To mean what you can run on the street is what matters, and I know for a fact I've beaten several people who told me there car makes some ..... amount of HP, wow it's a number.

LOL Pete left his name signed on, hmm should I log him off.

My srt4 did 512whp on my old setup with a tiny turbo and 28psi, and my Z28 did 541whp with a 100 shot, never dynoed it with the supercharger on it. Looking to do 650+ with the srt4 in about another month, and over 700 with the Z when the turbo kit goes in. WRX has about 230awhp I would say, never dynoed it.

Yes it is a "pissing contest", but only to people who don't realize or can't appreciate how hard it is to make these #s.

Getting high HP out of a car with any kind of reliability is not easy, cheap, and or garanteed. I didn't respect it nearly enough until "I" tried and/or did it myself.

Cheap, fast, reliable........pick 2

One thing that erks me though is people talking up / lying about their car. I've done this, I know what it takes, don't assume I'm stupid and you somehow took the easy road to HP.

I understand that....but what do a 500, 600, and 700HP Supra have in common? They all run 12's. HP numbers are just expressing how large your car penis is. They don't mean jack at the track or on the street. You can see that some people have like 500/600 WHP FWD that's awesome but what do they run compared to someone with 300AWHP? They either run the similar times or the AWD is faster.

It's hot hard to make HP numbers at all. This is what it takes:
Money, research, and time.

Track/Auto X are different. That requires driver skill and full knoweledge of what the car is capable of.

TehWagon

I can't agree with that statement. With the proper suspension and traction modifications a car with double the hp should not run the same times as your awd with half the power. If they are running the same/similar times the fwd driver is either horrible or hasn't done the proper supporting mods. You wouldn't run a 70 trim turbo with stock injectors, why run 500whp with stock tires/suspension.

I agree hp numbers don't hold a lot of value. Go to any good engine builder and they will not only talk about hp ratings their customers have but rather how fast their setups are at the track. Power band and effective horsepower are important.

That being said there is a timeslip area, his question related to hp. My last dyno was 386 whp and 367 tqe while blowing apart an i/c coupler. More numbers to follow.

Last time I checked my SRT4 was a 4 cylinder not an 8. The car should be done the end of the month then we will see some HUGE #'s on just boost. Over 700 if I feel like pushing it, but the main thing will be 500+ on pump 94 octane.

hey guys, i hope everyone remembers to post in the timeslip database, which is in the main menu bar at the top...
i like the idea of the list here... i think it should be noted what kind of dyno and what octane you were using, but anything and everything should be allowed into the running. maybe also a link to a dyno sheet if they have one? and if you dont have a dyno sheet your numbers are unofficial? also i'd like to see what kind of cars these numbers were on. it'll take some work but could be a pretty cool little database...
glad to see things are staying pretty civil :)

My car use to make 403 whp on 94 octane and 2.0 and 50 trim (FP Green), on a dynojet dyno. I daily drove that car as is for over two years putting about 30k miles on it. Unfortunately I don't have any numbers on the bigger motor, bigger turbo, bigger IC setup. I blew it up on the way to the last dyno meet, lol. All I can say is that it feels just as good as the 2.0 setup with a lot less boost. :)

HP numbers are just expressing how large your car penis is. They don't mean jack at the track or on the street....
Track/Auto X are different. That requires driver skill and full knoweledge of what the car is capable of.

I sort of agree with this, lol.

I've heard of some high hp cars that couldn't even come close to putting matching numbers down on the street/track.

I've also seen cars making 1/2 the hp out run another car... mostly because of weight differences. But then again who wants to daily drive a car that resembles a tin can.

And I'll be the first to admit I am a crappy driver.
:supz:

P.S. I'm really starting to think my car doesn't need backseats, a passenger seat, full interior and A/C anymore, lol.

Here's what happens at my power level when you spray out of the hole! I kind of counted on this happening, just not on the first pass. The damage is two snapped half shafts and an exploded center section. My car will be out in another 2 weeks or so with a live axle. i will than spray the 200 shot out of the hole again.

http://img273.imageshack.us/img273/8008/dsc017022gl.jpg

It doesn't matter what horsepower level you are at, if you don't plan on trying to use it to it's full potential, it really is useless! I, for one, am glad tht I have an excuse to put the right part in.
