That pre-approved bidder crap I hear is a scam I found an integra gsr a while back and it was $3000 buy it now and it was worked on too. So i was like wow, but like 2 days before it ended the page was changed and I said it was a scam.

That's a scam if I ever saw one.

No feedback. Priced WAY too low.

Not a chance this is real.

yea its a scam. It has all the tell tale signs: foreign country, buy it now without actually having the buy it now option, contact them outside of ebay to finalize the deal, plus a super low price to entice people to jump on it

Hrm....interesting

Canada is not THAT far away...someone bid on it and win. You DON'T HAVE TO pay the person right away. You work out payment details via e-mail. So if you win the auction and say when you pick it up you will pay the person in cash full and they say "no" then you can reply and tell them to eff off.

yeah thats great until a gang of Nigerians show up at your door threatening you if you dont follow through.

definitely a scam like someone else said.

couple more things..

seller is not a registered user.
yahoo email, no phone number.
no photos of the back of the car.. ie.. no license plate shots. why? because this car is 99.9999999999% surely NOT from canada.

think about it.. if you were getting married, dont you think you'd want to get the 20-25k this car is probably worth? no wife in the world is going to argue with that!

That's definately hard for them to do considering eBay will not give out your address nor personal information. And if you sat there and asked for THERE information only to pick up the vehicle. Sometimes people just desperately need money, hell I've seen some nice, clean, 2g's for less then what I paid for mine on there at times.

This may be 99.999999999% a scam but there is still that .00000001% that it's not. If someone really really really really wanted this vehicle researching it deeper then what the auction states is always an option.

Well then I have no clue how I can't get contact information from the jack asses that have one a few of my auctions and not paid for me them. I think that may be an "optional" part when doing your eBay profile.

markley02
11-07-2005, 12:01 PM
It is not optional. If you do not pay for an item the seller can request for your information and ebay will give it out. It has happened to me when i forgot to send someone money. The seller called my house and mailed me a letter asking for the money. I also received an e-mail from ebay telling me that they gave him my info.

SexyDSM95

HA! It's still at $95. How about this I will bid on it and if I buy it I will let you guys know what happens. It will just be funny to play with a scammer.

Edit: Crap you have to be "pre-approved" in order to bid.

SilverTurboRidin
11-07-2005, 12:20 PM
yeah i tried bidding on it last night, how do you become approved?

SexyDSM95
11-07-2005, 01:28 PM
I think you have to "Ask A Seller A Question" and they pre-approve you. Which seems pointless to me to be that picky on who submits bids on an auction?
