I have not driven a quick car in a while being that my srt and camaro are getting rebuilds now. I bought my 02 WRX last week and for the 1st 2 days I thought it was quick at least 1st and 2nd gear. Now I think it is slow as hell and want to mod it more, but this is suppose to be my daily driver. I know I will end up modding it, might just start with the tranny so I can at least launch the hell out of it.

Yea i def. go through that. Drive a slower car for a day or so than go back to yours. It will feel fast again.

i drove my girlfreinds trecel for a week and then hoped back in my car, wow what a difference.

but after a day it feels the same.




i wonder if people with 1000hp cars get the same way

well i doubt someone with 1000hp would drive there car everyday... i think after about 400-500hp you get satisified with the pull of acceleration.

Of course, I don't drive it much anymore.

Still, I'm in no hurry to make it faster considering this is just a weekend/street warrior.

Considering I'm a wimp and usually get off it early/prematurely you are better off going for a ride with Spendone. Going for a ride with him will give you a good taste of what it's like....

Nope, it's still not enough! LOL But I don't drive it as much anymore, so it still feels fast after driving the Jeep or the VWs (Jetta & Golf).

I'm so used to my cars pull, but it's weird being a passenger. I rode in my friend's Aero and the acceleration felt violent, I simply had to drive it. When I got behind the wheel it felt exactly the same as my car. I get the same sort of thing when I drive my brother's Jeep, I think it has mad low end pull and then get back in my car and think I've got horrific turbo lag.

It's funny how certain things can make a car feel like it has more hp than it really does. For example, a RWD car will feel like it has +50 hp when compared to a similarly powered AWD car. Having a crappy or stock suspension will feel like +50 hp. Sitting in the passenger seat adds +100 hp.

I think it has a lot to do with the drama and the scare factor of it all.

Okay we have an addaptive ECM so you need to retune pretty often get a wide band and retune it the power will come back. Also weather has a big deal with how your car will feel.

I drive crane trucks, dump trucks & heavy equipment 11 hours a day. My SRT-4 feels fast as **** after rowing threw 6 gear slushbox's and topping out at 65mph.

the bmw feels fast with over 400 to the wheels, the galant feels quick on it's feet at only 282 awhp. the galant runs out of steam way faster then the bimmer as the bimmer will smash into the redline in 5th gear as it demands more gearing.

the bimmer scares me when I spin 4th gear, the galant is just a blast to drive around but never feels scary, just very capable.

I've been putting around below 3000 rpms all week (my gas mileage has been sucking lately) and went WOT in 2nd and it felt amazing. :)
