Willow Grove Autotops is the sh it for any and all custom interior work. i've taken a couple of friends there for all their interior stuff and they've LOVED it. hit me up if you'd like to head up there for an estimate and i'll go with you

If they are stock seats, www.leatherseats.com can make and ship you leather covers.

They are usually very easy to install as all you need are hog rings and hogring plyers to finish the job. I did a set on WRX seats and it takes about an afternoon per seat taking your time.

no idea....let me know what you want and i'll try and give them a call this week to grab an estimate from them

will the seats already be out of the car or will they be in the car still?? i'd recommend alcantara......REALLY soft yet won't make you slip and slide in the seat like traditional leather

alacantra is similar to the escaine found in subaru's (sti seats/door cards), but very inexpensive compared to escaine and suade.

i had a feeling you would've wanted alcantara :-p alcantara is MUCH nicer than the material on the STi seats

you're in manayunk huh? you're bout 20 minutes from my place

let me know when you're available to head up to Willow Grove and we'll work out a time

btw, the fact that the seats are already out of the car and broken down (even better) should help to defray some of the costs :)

Willow Grove Autotops
(215)659-3276

my family owns an autobody shop and when a customer's car needs interior work repaired or a cloth top fixed/replaced after an accident that's the shop that does the work

they may give me a slightly better price if i were to get the quote for you, but call them up anyway just to get a rough estimate

My buddy did that on his Mazda 6 seats. I was really impressed by how well it turned out.

I might go with www.coverking.com
i'm gonna make sure they state that the covers will fit snug and perfect like OEM

Hopefully they have a return policy too

which one are you thinking of going with? neoprene would be pretty cool, but i wonder if it would be magnetic to dog hair like the current wrx seats are...

either neoprene or fake leather...
i'm not sure...
neoprene sounds a bit weird and i feel like it is slippery

TehWagon
11-10-2005, 12:06 PM
yea - but stickier than fake leather probably... either way, my plan is to do the passenger and back seats, and do a matching color racing seat for myself, so i'll be sure not to slide...

i'm really tempted to order now and hope for the best, but i'm gonna wait and see if they will guaruntee an OEM fitment,

interesting... i think i'd go for a solid color but i like the look... the two - tone looks a little 'retro' but whatever blows your dress up! :)

coverking charges about $200 for a pair of front seats
wet okole charges about $225 for the front seats.

If i go neoprene, i'll do wet okole
if i do vinyl (leatherette lol ) i'll do cover king...

The neoprene is water proof and easy to clean (so they say) it might be best if you have pets in the car

TehWagon

good call. i do hope when i'm ready to do this that i find someone who will do the seats individually, as i don't want to cover the drivers seat (b/c of racing seat)... :o

TehWagon
11-14-2005, 05:05 PM
pee ess... since i'm a seat wannabe, i just wanted to say that i found rear wrx wagon seats from an 05 (way cheaper than i can get recovered) and i'll probably just do the racing seat for drivers side, and get the pass seat recovered to (sort of) match!
and/or get front 04 or 05 seats...

so all that is to say that a) i'm excited that i can get this done for cheaper, and b) if you come across vendors willing to recover an individual seat, just let me know! i'm sure they'll do it if its custom but i'm sure they're not going to split up a kit...

US_R33

me personally, i'm more than likely going to go with a fixed bucket for my driver's seat (leaning strongly towards the Buddy Club Racing Spec seat) and a reclining seat for the pasenger side and getting the 2 front seats and the rear seats as well as the door panel inserts all redone in either black alcantara with red accents or vice versa

Daniel

sounds like a freaking plan!

US_R33
11-16-2005, 07:29 PM
you may want to consider doing something similar i.e. fixed bucket for the driver's seat and reclinable aftermarket seat for the passenger side (so the passenger has greater support)

yes, i guess i wasn't clear but that is indeed what i had planned to do :)
