idk, wasn't on a dyno - petey said i was running so rich tho, that now i should see about 30 horse gains, and i think that sounds about right. way smoother and torquier.

it is... im gettin it replaced... ray said you guys would be able to tune the x in like a month....

The guys that dis-assemble the code will eat that for breakfast lol...It will just take some time. Given the things they have accomplished with the evo 8 and 9 ecu on top of what colby and/or ecuflash gives them is amazing considering there is not a team of engineers breaking it down for 40 hours a week..That is why it is taking some time..Pay more now or pay less later, just like when the 03 evo came out..Although the cobb access port my be surfacing shortly as well, and it will be interesting to see what kind of new functions it will have on the X.

4000 man. I had a 3000gt stick for 3 yrs. Never needed to replace the clutch man. I don't know what's goin on. Never had a problem drivin. Its only under boost in like 3rd and a lil in 4th gear. So I don't know. I've heard a lot about the evo x's clutchs goin in like 6000 miles or less

yea, i dont know. they arent supposed to go that quick. must be a defect, cause it shouldnt be going that fast with stock power unless your launching your car everyday or just driving it like crap. f it, as long as its covered under warranty your straight.

Yeah i put 100k miles on my 3000gt and never needed to replace clutch and ive launched it one time and i dont beat on it.... so i dont understand why i would need one. im taking it tomorrow. if they dont replace it under warrenty im goin to most likley get a staged 2 clutch..

whats funny is my clutch went at 3k randomly and everyone said it was my fault:mad: im not gonna say what i have now but ya sometimes **** happens like that and its not driver error

It isn't usually, but if you have a good argument you might be able to swing it.

Im taking it in tomorrow. I know the guy who sold me the car and hes going to talk to the shop forman for me to try to convince him to cover it. I know how to drive my car haha but they always blame everything for the driver!!! it really sucks!! but just incase i dont get it covered.. what does everyone think i should get for a new clutch??

Most people go with the ACT clutch on the X..Also they will usually replace "WEAR" items like clutch or brakes under 5,000 miles if it is defective..But if they take the clutch out of the car and see nothing but heat marks on the flywheels and a disc that was burned to hell don't expect them to replace it for free and they will probably come back and charge you labor for it as well..

Mitsu Warranties FTL...

The X clutch, they should do because it sounds like factory error/defect but like peteyturbo said, if they find heat marks or ANYTHING even close... they'll deny you. Buddy with an VIII down in MD (gsx-lex for anyone in the DSM community) had a HUGE fight with Mitsu over his trans cases leaking. Mitsu said that they wouldn't fix the problem because they claimed the trans had been out before because the clutch was "too clean to be the stock one for the mileage" Even though it was the stock clutch:rofl:

the 100K mitsu warranty is just a joke, sorry...

They never cease to amaze me anymore... but good luck nonetheless

ive seen a clutch replaced under warranty in a 2006 cobalt twice with under 10k on it but as far as your case goes good luck. it all depends on what they find. if there are heat marks or the flywheel is warped, you might as well forget it.
