I'm looking to get a set of winter tires for the van and I've pretty much decided on two tires but I can't decide between the two.

Hankook W401's

or

Winterforce M+S's

The size is 215/70R15's and 225/70R15's. They are both in the same price range of around 50-55 dollars per tire. They both have excellent reviews.

I already got a set of Blizzaks for the 7 for CHEAP! :supz:

Get something with studs, then the van will be unstoppable in the snow and ice. ;)

When it comes to winter tires or even tires that stick in the wet you want to go with the skinnier size.

How about a 205/70-15

Personally, I like the Goodyear Tripletreds. Might be a little bit more pricey but you might be able to find a good deal on them ;)

I don't know to much about winter tires, but doesn't seem like the studs would last very long or would it? I plan on using these tires for about 3 months.

Thats what I was thinking to. The stock tire size is 205/75's.

How much does the Tripletreds go for around?

Edit: Better yet the winterforce in 205's are $47 a piece.

They aren't like golf spikes if that's what you're thinking, just little metal nubs, but with a 2 ton van on top they'll grip like nothing else.

Just by looking at the thread pattern the winterforce is going to be a little better for all-winter driving and not just in the snow. It looks like it will be better at evacuating water better than the hankooks.

The Goodyear tripletreds are not winter 'only" tires and actually are rated for close to 80k miles.

If the van is RWD then you definitely want to stick with the winterforce. If it is FWD you would probably be better off going with the tripletreds.

 I am going to shoot you..

The van is RWD. With the stock tires the van sticks pretty good but I want something better. The thing weighs I think over 4000 pounds.
