Hey Sarge and Bane, as you guys know I got a 95 in a 65 and I was curious on how long it takes for them to actually let me know when my court date is.

I got the ticket on 10/20/08 and sent in the form with the extra $7 they required as well as my signature on the not guilty section around 5 days later. I haven't gotten any mail notifying me of when I should show up for court so I'm worried that something happened. How long does this process usually take?

In addition, if a cop wrote the number of the court on the top of the ticket so that I could call them could that be a sign that the cop was suggesting that I should take it to court?

Sorry I just found this post. You should try calling the court to get the information about you court date and to see if your forms arrived. As far as the officers intent to give you a break you should talk to the officer before court he or she just might be able to lessen the charge for a guilty plea.

It's no problem I actually received the forms and my court date is in January so it is fine. I'm completely open to paying the ticket and receiving points; however, it's the suspension that I'm worried about so I might try talking to the officer before hand and seeing what he can work out for me.

Anyways getting that ticket scared the hell out of me. I don't think I've been in the left lane on the highway since. I just sit back with cruise control for most of the time now.
