So my MB quart 12 took a dump on me a few days ago. Having stock speakers without a aftermarket sub really sucks the big one, so I went out to find a temp replacement. I went to walmart and picked up one of these sony explode subs seeing how I have heard good things about them. After the install I turned my bass on the amp alllllllll the way down so I dont pop it and started to adjust, boy does that thing hit HARD and strong.... harder then my MB Quart I think. Needless to say it is time to dynamat my trunk. For those looking for a budget subwoofer sony is the way to go, I dont think I will be buying another sub; im going to stick with the Sony. It is a 90-380 watts RMS with 1,300 watts peak power. It's powerd by a kenwood amp pushing 460 watts mono. This thing isnt even at mid setting, need to back it way down.
2   's for Sony Explode

Yah, I never heard anyone talk ish about the sony's. My friend got the combo setup from crutchfield way back in the day. 2 12 inch Explodes and a 1200 watt Sony amp. Needless to say it was wayyyyyyyyyy to much for him, he had to sell one of the 12's. To tell you the truth, when I had my Grand AM GT I baught a Jenson 500 watt amp and enlosed/ported Jensen 10. That ish sounded goooooooooooooooood. I got so much crap for that untill they actually heard it.. they were like OMGhi2U2.
