Im looking for the best price possible on Turbo inlet pipe and a forge diverter valve, so i can help a friend of mine begin the modding process on his 03 GTi. OH and just incase see what you can throw in a N75j Valve for also! That way i know he's good once he gets his chipped and re-mapped ecu! :)

Thanks Vendors!

the TIP is NOT fun to put in :( (at least for me), but a good upgrade.

bustin knuckles on a car was never a problem for me. Plus im trying to teach my friend a thing or two at the same time. I never saw the sense in hooking a car up if you cant do atleast the minor work yourself.

I put my 30R kit on my evo myself in my garage, i think i can handle a TIP on a GTI. Needless to say i did an ecu on one of them and that itself was probably harder being the ecu is under the windshield wipers LOL.

oh yeah, i do as much of work on a car that I can do myself.

It was just a pain because of a hard line was in the way, making it difficult to slip it in. I believe you can unbolt it (there are write ups on vwvortex and otherplaces if you need it, doubt it though.) but it wouldnt come loose for me. plus it was kinda cool out, misting and I was getting tired and aggrovated because it was really late lol. just make sure for the awp engine that on the inlet pipe, where the Pressure Regulator Valve 'pancake valve'(i believe its called) is a larger diameter than the other engines so you may need an adaptor, that forge sells for like $9. this: http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/images/dis/6519/600/6519.jpg

other than that, nice to hear about another VW. Hope your friend has fun with it.
