lol i dont speed.

You must be the shizznit...

I don't have anything right now, I usually cruise down roads that I'm very familiar with so I know where they all sit.

When I get my turbo together though I am getting a valentine1.

I don't know about you guys... but I use my eyes to find police officers sitting along the sides of the road. I don't need no stinkin' radar detector.

No speeding tickets, ever.

I just take it easy. Usually within 10mph of the speed limit. No trouble yet.

I got a Valentine 1, after getting my first ever speeding ticket... in the Supra of course >:o But I can't even count how many times it has paid for itself over and over and over again. If you're going over 120, might as well just hammer it some more to 150 and run. Not from experience...

The moral is, if you speed, make sure you're going way over the speed limit

*sarcasm is hard to show over the internet*

I used to have a radar detector but it doesn't do **** in this area sine they only use vascar. When I go to the shore I always bum my buddies radar detector. I tend to just watch traffic patterns to know when I need to slow down. We all know where the cops hide and if you see a car 100 yards in front of you jamming on his brakes after passing one of these areas it typically means slow down theres a cop. I haven't had a speeding ticket in a couple years (knock on wood) but i do tend to get nailed for rolling through stop signs and **** like that alot.

That probably works a lot better than the black sheet I put over my car when I'm driving at night. I can't see for ****.

Maybe when we are on our TST Peep Night I will let you test it out. It's pretty wicked. I'll tell you the story about what I had to do to get this over the Russian Border sometime too. :supz:

I'll tell you...you having this cloaking device will make the TST PT meet a lot easier to pull of. How many people do you think we can fit underneath it and still have room to jerk off...you know, so it's not weird.

I typically do 5-10 over, and just watch traffic patterns and the sides of the road.

The only times I've gotten tickets, were when I let my guard down. One on Rt. 309 above the Souderton exit when I didn't realize I had a cop pacing me at night, and another down in Tennessee after rolling through morning rush hour in Asheville and getting pissed off. Rolled down off the mountain doing 80 in a 55, he graciously dropped it to 69 in a 55.

Since Tennessee, I don't do any more than 5 over when out of state.

Besides, I'm in the same boat as SovXietday, white car + red wheels = OMG catch him!

I have gotten myself in a few things, this story has never happened and is completely imaginary. Driving down the tp doing about 100 on the late night, was in the passing lane and passed a line of cars and happened to not notice the state troop sitting on the side of the road needless to say taking it to 145 to the exit handles the business

Reminds me of when justinlansdale and I were on the highway one night after a photoshoot and blew by a bear standing outside his car sipping his coffee.

Poor guy nearly fell over trying to get in the car, but we made it to the next exit and dove off. I was never so glad to know backroads that night.

figures i get tickets for small speeding, yet when ive had a couple drinks taking I-276 home at like 120 because i really had to pee nothing happens.. ::knock on wood::

oh yeah, that never happened.

Zillon
10-22-2008, 03:49 PM
That's just a big fail, right there.

C'mon, driving plastered? Thanks for keeping the highways I drive safe.

Elliott18t

changed it.. wasnt plastered.. wrong choice of word. I had some drinks and by the time i was on 276 i didnt feel much else but for the fact that i had to pee. needless to say; never doing again.

Hahaha, I still don't know how I haven't gotten pulled over in this thing.

I remember when I had my black coupe, drove around for over a month open DP. It was LOUD as hell. Finally had a full exhaust put on the car after having to wait for parts and what not, and 3 days later I was pulled over because my exhaust was too loud.

That was in Norristown though, I don't go that way anymore.

If you really want to learn to fight speed traps, take some hints from Alex Roy (Team Polizei M5, Gumball, Bullrun, NY to LA record holder).

He ran 3 Valentine 1's, 4 jammers, photo-blocking plate covers, as well as GPS waypoints of every known speed trap between NY and LA.

His book is awesome, "The Driver"...highly recommend it.

LOL I think that may be slightly overkill for most of us who are just trying to get to work on time.

I didn't say replicate it, just take some hints :)

Like Valentine 1 for instance, he tried all of the high end detectors, and the V1 was the best each time.

I've heard that many times about the Valentine 1. If I were in the market, that's the one I would buy hands down.

I used to use a V1, I sold it when I stopped speeding.

Combined with the remote display, it was phenomenal. We'd convoy across Florida to various autox events, and my V1 picked up well before any other models.

**** you guys have it easy..here Cops don't sit and clock you, cameras do! They take a pic of the front of your car, also a side shot of you driving, and the rear plate. You can't get out of that.

Flat black paint, it was used on the stealth bomber too.

ndubz
10-23-2008, 02:30 PM
Just painting ur car flat black wont do it, the stealth planes are designed to minimize their radar signature, the paint just helps it further, o ad btw it isnt jusflat black paint, it is a mix of stuff that is still a secret. That would be sick as hell though if someone made a stealth car that couldnt be tracked by radar. ps. ur VR4 looks sick in that color tho
