So NBC10 had a thing on Ghosts tonight. Travel Channel is doing a thing Live at Gettysburg next Friday. I watch Ghost Hunters way too much.

Here are some links..

NBC10's photos:

YouTube evidence from Ghost Hunters at Eastern State Penn (Creepy!):

YouTube evidence from Ghost Hunters at Fort Delaware (Watch 'til they get to the Infra-Red video.. it's sweet):

EDIT (Adding more links):

YouTube video from CNN, ghost in school gym:

So I kinda do believe in this sorta **** but it bugs me when I see people get photos of "orbs" and say they are ghosts. I was in Gettysburg a few years ago and took photos and saw "orbs" in some shots and not in others. Unless I physically saw a light/orb moving around in the dark, I don't really think they are anything special... Dust maybe? I dunno. I love exploring creepy ass places. I've taken thousands of photos in those places, but have yet to really see anything out of the ordinary. But yah.. what do you all think?

What I don't understand is... ghost hunters claim that there will be a cool temp when a ghost is present. Yet whenever there is a ghost caught, they catch them on thermal...

In the black and white video, I don't see anything...I mean see blackness move, but is that supposed to be a ghost?

I was watching ghost hunters earlier, and there going to be doing the 7 hour live thing again. I watched the last two, and they were actually pretty cool.

The white spots are dust that is reflected when the flash goes off. Ghosts are not real. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c269/esunbaboon/icon_colbert.gif

I've seen things I swear. In Williamsburg I took the good old Colonial tour and I swear I saw something in a window of one of those houses. Creeped the **** out of me. There has been way too much stuff to happen in life for it to be fake...

i never understood orbs. but as for the thermal...i agree. how is it that the thermal picks up a heated figure with heatspots within the figure...while reading cold spikes in their presence. the thermal would definitely show the contrasting temperatures. Eitherway, i still think the stuff is cool.

Odd how spots on a lense have evolved from spots, to orbs/ghosts.

I am skeptical of this stuff but my old roommate/good friend is a ghost hunter...him and a group of people go out and investigate local places and honestly he has played some audio for me and told me about some other weird things...not saying I believe in ghost but there are def things that are unexplainable....

I'm def. a fan of Ghost Hunters (TAPS). They will spend more time debunking then just jumping to the conclusion that its a ghost. If they have footage they believe in its because they exhausted every other explanation.

The EVP's have been what mostly impresses me. The one with a princess blew my mind. That eastern state one was good too with the footage. Youtube is packed with TAPS vids. Check out that princess one and one where they were at a lighthouse.

i've been to fort delaware. it's a creepy ass place. the top floors aren't safe anymore, so no one is allowed up there (except like the caretaker) & i swore on a night tore once a flare went off and dropped from the top floor and went out when it hit the ground.
There's just some very unexplainable stuff up there. If you ever get the chance, go on the haunted tour they do. it's actually really informing too. The day tour is also nice. you learn about alot of the history.

to keep on topic, i believe in ghosts. my best friend's old house was haunted and so is the new(to her) old farmhouse she just moved into.

I have had far too many personal experiences to NOT believe they exist. And I have watched the past few 7 hour GH halloween presentations, so I shall do so once again this year..or atleast i think anyways.

In regards to the black cape thing.. they put a person there (in the full episode) and tried to redo it. They couldn't The guy would have to be EXTREMELY short and move in a motion / speed that's basically not possible for a human to do. It was cool ****.

I've never had a personal experience I don't think, but I know people who have. My brother was slapped in the face 3 times one night at his buddies house. He never spend the night there again. His buddy and their friends have ALL experienced **** at that house. It's right off of Huntingdon Pike on the Bryn Athyn / Huntingdon Valley lines in Montgomery County (if you care). My ex g/f has also witness TONS of crazy ****. She lived in a house that she swears was haunted, as does the rest of her fam and friends and relatives who visited. Unrelated to her house, her and some of her friends were in a house people thought was haunted (it's abandoned). They were walking around and heard some crazy stuff. The one guy took a ball he had and threw it down a dark hallway. A few seconds later (no sounds of the ball hitting anything) the ball came flying back and almost hit him. That's creepy stuff IMO.

Also, I really want to do the Fort Delaware night tours. Do they do anything in October? From what I am reading it looks like they close shop on September 28th :(

I added a few more vid's that've been in the news lately. Check up top!

one time back in highschool a bunch of us slept over a friends house... well, she wasn't really a friend... more like a fat pompous asshole ****... but i digress... a bunch of us were sleeping over her place, pretty much all over the house. the place was said to have a ghost in the basement and that stuff generally happens down there only.

so me and my buddy's younger sister head down there for the night... you know... make kissy kissy... grabbing some skin... the usual fun highschool stuff. well... we here a noise, which totally kills the mood... pitch black down here... stairs creaking, everyone is asleep... the door slowly opens... son of a bitch... a ghost is killing this for me... the light turns on! 0.0!!!

and there stands... asshole ****'s druggy brother... "oops... sorry..." turns off the light and goes back upstairs

Im a big fan of TAPS...I watch that **** every week. I used to believe, but now I think i'm 50/50.
I like when they use the K2 meter.

lownslow95
10-02-2008, 11:23 AM
Yeah, when I saw them in Hollywood at that one guys house where the Charles Manson murders were, they used the K2 Meter to communicate with them. It was pretty cool to watch the thing respond "yes" and "no" to them using that thing.

That one was freaky. It was SOOOOOO clear.

I just watched the Princess Episode Reveal and WOW that's crazy. It makes me want to go visit and try it myself. Like he said, it's not a residual haunting, it's intelligent and knows someone else is there talking. That basically opens up so much between this life and if there is one after we leave here. Crazy.

So I am debating driving out to Gettysburg this Fri for the live event... or should I just watch it on TV... hmm...

Have you guys seen the TAPS episode where they recap all the 'best' evidence that they capture? I still cannot believe the one where the audio guy was smacked around by his own equipment bag. That was nuts. Anyone else see that?

EDIT: Found it on YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mrre1bOUEUU&feature=related

I saw one that I believe was done in Gettysburg -- I wish I could remember the exact name of the Inn that TAPS studied. Anyway, Grant managed to film a picture frame in his room moving completely on it's own in the middle of the night. The scraping of the frame across the mantle woke him up, and it kept moving even after the time it took him to get the camera set right. IIRC.

I'm not sure if I believe in 'ghosts' .. but I believe that SOMETHING is causing all that craziness.

i'm guessing it was cold outside?

i don't necessarily believe in this kind of thing, but i'm with some of you guys in saying that i've had way too many personal experiences to completely rule it out. i try to prove everything wrong and explain it away, but there are times when some sh*t just can't be explained and it gets scary fast.

Bear Creek ski area is one of the creepiest places i've ever been in my entire life. i'm honestly getting goosebumps thinking about it. last year i was riding along in the groomer while building the park. it was about 2am by the time we all got organized and out to work on the features. we backed up the fall line of a main run and sat with the headlights facing down towards a few rails while some of the other guys were digging them out and fixing everything. the engine was turned off and it was quiet. we were listening to some music inside the groomer, but it was pretty low. my boss heard a noise outside to his left. something hit the left side track. a minute later there was a light squeal like metal dragging across the left window. we were pretty creeped out.

about 5 minutes went by and we were both talking about how messed up it would be if different things happened. we were in the middle of talking and the windshield fogged up right in front of us. it was thick fog, like someone breathed on it from 2 inches away. i went to wipe it away and i couldn't - it was on the outside. we freaked. my boss started the groomer and hauled ass down the hill, we were both yelling sh*t to the guys outside about what just happened. they started downhill and my boss was driving like an idiot and almost tipped the machine over. lol.

that happened 3 nights that week to different people in the groomer, my brother included. there are constantly reports from all kinds of different people, including contractors who ave never been there before. people report hearing strange crap out on the mountain while the lifts are shut off and it's all quiet. one of the most frequent reports is about hearing slow drums and deer toes (ceremonial dress - makes a rain-like clicking sound). the freaky part is that there is actually a real indian burial ground next to the Timberline run, on the far right of the mountain.
