Unlocking an Eclipse CD/Radio

My mom just bought a 2001 Eclipse Spyder GT Convertible, but the radio is currently locked and we can't use it.

I know how to unlock Delco GM radios, how can I go about doing it myself w/o going to the dealer?

Anyone do this before to these kinda cars?

i used to have a 2000 eclipse. there should be a card that comes with it that tells you what to do. it is a anti theft thing.how did you get it locked in the first place?

when they got it, it was on the lot so long that the battery died. when it dies, it kicks in the theft-lock feature. no card in the manual :(

guess i'll pull the deck tomorrow and see if the code is on there

I've seen something about this before. Search the forums at Club3g.com. I think the answer should be there somewhere.

You are going to have to call the dealer. Some will charge for the code, but some will not.
