What's up people?
I wasn't sure if anyone here ever spectates or participates at the Philadelphia Dragonboat Festival. It is this Saturday October 4th, 8:00am to 5:30ish pm, down on the Schuylkill near boathouse row. I've spectated before, but this is the first year i'll be paddling. I'll be on Frankford Hospital Cancer Center's "Save-a-Life" Boat, in the Hospitals Division. It's a nice fun family event, and plenty of food and alcohol for the adults. lol Tons of races and plenty of good times.
If anyone will be there, i'll be in the Frankford Hospital tent all day, when I'm not paddling of course. I'm excited this year. We have hospital workers on our boat, as well as 1 or 2 cancer survivors. My mother in law works at the hospital, she's on the boat...i simply volunteered. lol
