it pretty much just takes out fuel from your car controlling the fuel injector pulse widths, it doesn't add fuel, just takes it away according how you get your car tuned with it, a car with a 12.9 A/F ratio is running leaner than a 10.5 A/F which therefor the air/fuel is equally out and bringing in more horsepower, if you don't have the right air/fuel ratio your car will lose power, well thats the best way i can explain it. also, DON'T tune it yourself, take it to someone that knows their ****, and you drive a subie if i'm correct, just contact Ray at turbotek and he can flash your ECU and pretty much do the same thing

They can add fuel, and they dont control pulsewitdh they modify Map/Maf signal to the ECU, for fuel control. they work pretty well. What Make and Model of car?

i run a neo and yes it will add or subtract fuel at what rpms you want it to. also, it functions as a mafs translator as well so you can run a mafs from a different engine (for example i run a j30 mafs on my 240sx)
also functions as a tachometer, throttle position gauge, and volts gauge. i think it reads knock too if your car reads it stock?

anyway, the downfall is that you cannot adjust timing with it and your car may react from the fuel changes you made by changing the timing around and you wont even know it. thats why i had my ECU rom tuned. i also run the afc neo ontop of that but it really serves no purpose right now other than as gauges. sometime i may go get a dyno tune and have them fine tune the afc.

if its in a honda you're better to just run chrome on obdI ****. if its in a car that doesnt really have a cheap tuning option(like a dsm) they're pretty nice. i ran one in my 1g.

... not on point but close

The only thing im going to say is the SAFC2 is average and it only allows 12 points of fuel correction. i use it in my vr4 and its perfect for now

on my honda i run crome.... however the safc neo wouldnt be bad

it has like 16 points of correction and it can control vtec...
