Ipod/Iphone Applications

Does anyone know how to have your iTunes read or (verify) an application that you did not buy directly from the iTunes store? I got Dynolicious and I'm trying to get it to work but it says it cannot be verified. If someone could help I could send Dynolicious your way.

you have to download this thing called putty, then entire the string for giving the applications access.
