I really wish we could leave replies in other threads here... but i understand why we can't.

My uncle is an officer, would I get crap for having a sticker? Not that I need one, just wondering since the other thread came up about them.

I was also under the impression that those stickers are handed out to people that donate to the FOP. Not the metal tags that gets affixed to the license plate, but just a sticker to go on the window.

When it comes to FOP stickers its totally discretionary on the officers part, some get mad about it and some it doesn't bother. If you have a legit reason i.e. a family member is in law enforcement and you want to shop support then by all means put one on your car. If you think its a get out of jail free card or just came across one then save yourself the trouble and don't even put it on. The police supporter stickers are different, the information that comes around in the mail about donations to your local PD is what gets you one of those stickers not an FOP badge.

Ah got ya.

It wouldn't be to use as a "get out of jail card". I don't get pulled over as it is, I just don't want to get pulled over for having one if I decide to get one... grandfather was an officer for 26 years and my uncle is going on 8 I think... so it'd be purely to show support.

You won't get pulled over simply because you have it on your car, if you make a violation and you have one on your car then the officer will probably bring it up.
