Old Man joins the Forum... Film at 11

OK so Im Dan. I have been a performance car guy since well my first car at age 14. I have owned Austin Healey's, BMW 2002, Porsche 911's, Fiat's ( LOL ) Mazda's, Hyundai's and Nissan's. I currently own a Mazda 626 5 spd 6 cyl, Honda Prelude ( 98 ), Nissan 240sx (5 of them including a convertible) and a few other cars. I think 11 in total. Some are nice most are projects like my Q45. I have been everything from car builder for a split second appearance in first Fast and Furious movie to purchasing and marketing at NOPI for 4 years. I owned part of Redline until Feb of this year and formerly raced formula ford and formula atlantic. Im old, poor and still love this ****. Im connect beyond belief in the industry to some of my best friends in the world. I still guest write for a few magazines and after taking some time off, I just cant stand being away from this anymore. Im always interested in meeting new people, food, performance driving and or just bench racing. 38 going on 50 with the mind of a 13 year old.

so i just worked on my mazda for like 8 hours and then my girlfriend tells me, oh mazda replaced the water pump and timing belt thingy not long ago. this is just about the time i have replaced the thermostat, flushed the radiator and fought with the damn thing to get the belts off and timing covers off the v6 just pulling the water pump off and she stops by the garage. UGGGGGGGG....lol.... i could have dropped the transmission out of the convertible today instead if i knew that before. i shot some photos of the stock convertible before the project start sitting in my garage along with the **** box mazda 626. i also took some photos of the prelude project and the track car in the other garage.( thats the one with the nt03m wheels on it i was trying to sell but no one wants to spend $$$$ on them which i understand. whats everyone doing for the holiday jacki must have hitch hiked to the beach.

Yaah As In Mark Myers.. He is a cool guy..I think TBH besides racing with some great people who were like mentors to me, he would be the other reason I would go back to drag racing and be motivated enough to fix my Talon.

Sounds like a nice collection. So you stopped looking for 240sx's a year ago, eh? I guess I should have started looking earlier, cause it really seems like in the last year every kid thinks they are the Drift King and selling rust bucket 240sx's for their weight in gold. All I really want is a good shell to make into a track car. Seems like you have found some really good deals in the past.

OK its official. I am writing for S3 magazine. I will be doing a column in each issue. I know its not as big as some of the magazines i used to be affiliated with but i like the guys and am excited about the magazine refocusing on the industry and is hardcore segment of the audience. it was nice to see it at both borders and barnes and noble book stores. looking for feature cars up this way to shoot as well and models for small bits of fluff in the magazine.

s3 mag is a small magazine based in atlanta. they have been around for a bit. they are owned by a small bunch of true enthusiasts not some giant money hungry compay like source interlink which owns super street modified, european car, etc...... these guys scrape and sell their soul to keep going because they love the industry and cars in general. I will be writing a column each month. this wont be the first time. i wrote for nissan sport, modified and a few others from time to time. www.s3mag.com
