I'm thinking about purchasing a defi d EGT gauge, but it doesnt have a probe...
anyone have any experience with this one - http://www.teamrip.com/accessories.html (scroll down to 2nd item), or know of a better deal?

Yes that probe should work.

it should definitely work, but i don't know if i can get it for cheaper

From what I "hear" the Type-K Probe gets better/faster readings compared to the ones Autometer gives you in their install kits. I have the Autometer Ultra-lite EGT and it seems to work fine for me. But you really can't compare Autometer vs. Defi there is no contest so I wouldn't be sure if this is a step down or the same.

well, i'm going to find out for sure... just ordered it

i'm just glad i got a sweet deal on defi d-gauges (A/F and EGT) so spending extra on a good EGT probe is not a big deal.

i have been using that EGT probe for maybe 4 months now and its been working fine for me. i have heard good things about it from others as well so i am confident in it. good price too...
