i currently have a mustang and with gas the way it is and the price of parts for my mustang its not economical at all. i am really attracted to the civic hatch si (ep3?) i am just curious before i purchase one, is there any known tech problems and on average what does a standard tune up cost on one of these.
pm namdoogwerdna he has one and knows alot about it

you serious ... i would rather pick up a fit especially if your really worried about gas, they get like 50 mpg and under 15k brand new
i wouldn't mind having a fit =]

i was looking at the fit but the ep3 is quicker im thinking
i got one and im happy with it as a daily driver. dont expect it to be quick. it is good on gas tho. fun car to drive, handles like a champ. if you got any other questions about it pm me. and if your going to ask about the whole stick situation is it grate and its amazing for RH! ( never gets in the way)

They're allright. Anything 88-00 will handle lots better. Shifter in the dash is awesome, the stock recaro seats are great. It does look a lot like a minivan when it's stock.

cx & dx are the two trim levels for the 96-00 hatch. cx is the lower model. They'll both out handle the ep3 but stock they make no power at all. They're also WAY more likely to get stolen.

fit is reliable. they arent quick but handle well. i thought about it when i had dreams of a k-swap. they are cheap brand new cars with quite a bit of after market support. i would definitely look into them if u are lookin for reliable/good mpg. honestly i drove a few ep3s and wasnt impressed at all. the interior was kinda cool but they werent quick at all and handled terribly. u could find a base rsx and probably be more happy with that than the ep3 as well.

Just go do a bunch of test drives, that's your best bet. You can never do enough of it... just don't settle for something you think is "sorta ok". Love/Hate relationship i'm stuck in w/ this car, grumble grumble bleh.

fit > base rsx
no way in hell. base rsx has a much nicer interior than the fit and looks sexier wit a drop and wheels.

I've owned my ep since it was brand new and I absolutely love it...I bought the car though with a lot of plans for modifications. Would I drive it stock...no! But after some minor mods it was much nicer. I would definitely reccomend it. If you have any questions just pm me.
