Yellow and Orange MSP

Saw a yellow Mazdaspeed Protege (or MP3 it was moving i couldn't tell what the rims were like, its the only visual difference from the MSP to the MP3)

It was near the Coventry Mall in pottstown



ALso About last saturday i saw a Orange (spicy) MSP in Frazer while waiting for my friend, tried to get your attention but you went straight to 202 when i had to turn around lol



Anyone know who these peps are?

There are a few other clues to separate the two, MP3 versus an 03.5 MSP (which is what the yellow ones are).

The big hints are the different style wings, and the 'body kit' that's on the MSP is not on the MP3. Also, the MP3 came stock with fogs; the 03.5 MSP did not.

The MP3 also has an MP3 badge on the front fenders, just behind the wheel wells and before the start of the front doors.

Then there's the slightly different color of the tail lights -- the turn signal/reverse areas of MP3 tail lights are white, but the MSP ones have a mild pink hue.

Oh, and the exhaust tip, if they have the stock exhaust -- round on the MP3, oval on the MSP.

.. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. :wink:

well the yellow one could be eaither a 2003.5 or a 2001 MP3, i jsut dont know cause i just saw the frount of it Lol, but i know the orange one was a 2003 MSP,

I know my MSP's as well rush LOL, ive been seeing alot this month

And for the yellow one i was trying to see the rims cause i was to far away to see the exact body of it, so i couldent tell if it has the 2003.5 lip kit on it. All i know both were stock.


Oh and i just found out that theres a black one around here also, he went to the Oaks meet last week I was told, i gotta find him.

Oh 1 more thing, the yellow ones has altezza's on it, cause they were the same kind that i had on mine when i first bought it, thanks god i got rid of them LOL

but you still have the 03 spoiler right? and do you have the mp3 logo on your driver door? those are two things i look for with yellow and blue mp3's to determine what they are.

yeah, i have the 03 spoiler & all the MP3 badges still there. another thing to tell the difference is the shade of yellow. yellow MSPs are a bit less bright in color, more of a banana feel.

yea i know the difference. people just like to add msp parts to mp3's.
