Cost-cutting to try to save their asses. This is what happens when american automakers have short term goals and don't plan for the future. Apparently putting all of you eggs in the bigger is better moto was not a good idea.

Time to buy GM stock @ $10 a share and watch it sore back up to $100 a share in 10-15 years!
