Its all the damn parents (and the dumbass kids obviously) who buy their kids a car so the kid can spend all their allowance/part time job salary modding it and trying to be a street racer....

but heck that was just a dumb 17 y.o kid... what about the 39 year old with the KID IN THE CAR??!!! WTF. these dudes are just as bad... middle-aged guys w/ the mid-life crisis go buy the stock G35 so they can beat civics and tc's in "street races"..... pitiful.

First off I hope the 3 year old kid is alright. As for the drivers especially the 39 year old father, I could care less how they turn out. At 39 years old you should know that street racing is dangerous in any instance, and when you have a 3 year old in the car you should be driving nothing but the speed limit. Hopefully the 17 year old learns his lesson, but its unfortunate that something like this had to happen for him to learn.
I agree with Kingofdelco most middle aged males are the worst when it comes to driving like jack asses, god forbid I pass one of them in their minivan, they get all bent out of shape and start driving like nuts. :bigeek: How is the car is innocent victim? Seriously, the innocent victim in this is the 3 year old that was injured. The hell with the car, someones LIFE (which, was just beginning at that), was placed at a high risk due to some idiot father. Yea, it was a dumb 17 year old kid. Inexpirence is killer. But the 39 year old, he should know a LOT better then to take part in a race.

Also, how do you know it was the parents who got him the car? My ex was 19 when she bought her tC from the dealer. The parents had nothing to do with it. She worked, earned the money, and bought the car. And she makes the payments on it.

And to blame the parents, I can sort of agree here. I mean, they should of taught the kid to be more responsible when he was getting his liscense, but in the end, it was the kids decision to drive like an idiot, and race people on public streets (read, anything but the track).

This is different. The mom or dad taking their kid to school, store, practice, nannies, or what-not are not taking part in street racing. They are using the car for its intended purpose, taking them from point a to point b.
