James,
A while ago, the attached Voluntary Self-Identification form was sent to you for completion. Our records show that the form was not returned.

Attached is another one for you to complete and return to me.

:o

1. Who is james (i guess i'm supposed to know that)
2. There is no indication WHO this "letter" (thats what it appears to be) is from. (guess i'm supposed to just know that too.
3. There is no irony here. You were given a form which u didn't fill out. They sent you another. WOAh!!! NO WAY!!!!!!

Perhaps, they thought you LOST IT?! There is nothing that says "you MUST complete this form".... that might be constued as irony... but this fails.

Lets keep this about irony...And not about taking shots at each other.

And yes...it is irony that they have a system reminding you to do something that is voluntary in the first place...That is nearly the definition of irony!

Wow, Im glad to see some tst members are real mature. The guy probably misunderstood it and you all jump down his throat about it. But I do have to agree this thread does fail due to the fact its completely stupid.

AMEN BROTHA!

btw- i "understood" (despite the lack of contextual info)... theres just no irony. at all. If they required him to complete the voluntary form, then yes. as is, no.

explain to me how requiring someone to do something voluntary isnt ironic?

explain to me where it says he is REQUIRED to complete the form........ :supz:

sending someone a form twice is not holding a gun to their head, fyi. he shoulda just thrown the form away and ignored them (like i do with my debtors) and never posted about this.

The fact that the form is called voluntary, indicates that it is not required. Being that they claimed their records show that he didnt complete said form, indicates that they want him to do it and that is not, in fact, voluntary.

This is completely ironic, and kind of funny, send it back with voluntary highlighted, and thats it. haha.

Gotta love HR and their "Voluntary" forms. It reminds me of Mandatory Fun Days.

But aren't we in the "off topic" forum? However that Delco guy seems a little intense about a dumb post.

And to stay on topic...

James, you should take that form and make an arm band out of it. Wrap it around your bicep, walk into HR's office, and then flex.

A: He quoted himself right after he posted, hes obviously a troll and should be banned

B: That is the funniest thing said so far in this thread.

no, no it doesn't. and using fancy words doesn't make you any more right.

if they were requiring him to complete the form they would say that. NOWHERE does it say that, in any post the OP made. you lose. just stop digging the hole deeper.

stop, just stop. You say you get so upset that people treat you harshly, yet you continue to act like this. I am personally a member of 5 forums, all of wich i post at regularly, and none of which i recieved the welcome you did. It is not this forum, it is you. I seriously hope this does not get deleted, but i know that it will. Im not sure why you believe that you are being un-justly attacked. You yourself provoke every single negative comment ever directed towards you. I understand that in the other thread people said some harsh things about your ideas, the proper thing to do would have been to A: brush it off and let it go or B: realize that maybe your ideas are flawed in some way and that they are simply using tough guy ways of teaching you things. You chose option C, which was to act like a douchebag and tell people who have 8x the automotive experience you do that they are retarded, when in fact they make livings, good ones at that, building seriously high performance cars for customers who demand nothing but the best. I really hope that people can see that Im not trying to be a dick or a tough guy, Im just getting sick of your attitude. You act like your daughter probably did when she was a bit younger. You give people alot of **** but when they hand it back you cry about it.

What the hell is going on in here? KOD... Her words to James IMPLIED that it is in fact manditory... Stop...step away from the keyboard... take a deep breath... and think... what do i hope to gain by continuing this argument.... Then, enlighten us with your answer.

Would you fill out this form?

Yes / Repeat the Question

^This is essentially what's going on. It's "voluntary" but if you don't fill it out, they'll annoy you about it incessantly. Ironic? Somewhat. Worth having a really cantankerous thread about? Signs point to "No."

I volunteer to close this thread.

Close / Repeat the question.

OMG. You suck.

For those of us with corporate jobs we immediately recognized the Dilbertness of the situation and got a great chuckle from it. You have now taken away our chuckle. I hate you

Beating a dead horse on this one. I work at the same place and received the same email. If it was "voluntary" there wouldn't have been a FOLLOW UP telling us to complete the form after we didn't fill the damn thing out the first time. Hence the silliness of the whole matter.

Now stop being a chode.
