ATM I currently own a Sidekick LX and at first I was very pleased with it but now I'm getting kinda bored of it. I use every feature of the phone on a daily basis which is emails, Instant Messaging, MP3, Web browsing and so forth. I just hate that I can't use mp3 as my own ringtones, camera is crappy, and also the bluetooth isn't so great. Now most of my friends have the Blackberry Curve but for AT&T and they said it's a really good phone but didn't really explain to me much about how it is a good phone. I know that AT&T version has that telenavi or something but with T-mobile what are the good and bad about it and also how does it compare to the sidekick lx?

edit: I forgot to also ask to those who have or had the curve....On the Tmobile web site it states that the curve has real web browsing. Does that mean that it has the same browsing capabilities as the sidekick? Or is it that text only with little pictures browsing?

txt only with little picture browsing. I have the Blackberry Curve and if I bought it a week later then I actuall did I think I would have been happier with it. When I bought it it was $299 w/ a new plan a week later it was $99 w/ a new plan. I wasn't happy

Theres an over-the-air-update apparently coming any time now for the LX.

Enables video.

New browser.

Tons of other things.

I'd be paitent.

I've had a BlackBerry...for all of like 48 hours.

I found that once you have a "full size" keyboard (with keys that are independant of one another) you'll never switch back.

I have a Curve and definetely prefer it over the Sidekick. If anything its more grown up and seems to have less issues than the sidekicks have been having. That and I feel that I'd mangle the flip screen on a sidekick after a few drops.

I think its the same thing that just came out for the Curve. The new firmware features video, i think a new browser and a few other things. Its been officially release by Blackberry but yet to be release via Tmobiles site.

i have the blackberry curve 8320 on tmobile and i love the phone. it dose ALOT. more than the side kick can do. as far as i know the sidekick lx cant download 3rd party apps, use your mp3s are ringtones and a few other things. but one thing that the AT&T curve 8300 has that the 8320 dosnt have is GPS. although, the 8320 on t mobile has wi-fi enabled browsing and calling alas t mobile's hot spot. it will also connect the any wireless router any where and it will basically use the router as a cell phone antenna and the phone will trannsmit in the UMA frequency to make calls or surf the internet on the phones browser. AT&T has there 3g network out now, T mobiles rolling theres out somtime in the fall. although both these phones are EDGE/GPRS/GSM enabled. im not sure if the AT&T curve is 3g or not
