Whats going on? The name is Arthur and I have a 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6 speed with some tasteful mods and in the garage a 1995 Toyota Supra.

Just figured I would say Hey, Whats up.

How many posts to I need to be allowed to post pics?

And as for the CLS:
Black 2003 Acura CLS6
Comptech Headers
Comptech Cans
No cat
Injen Intake
Bored TB
Ported and polished upper mani
Lowered on an Eibach kit (meh, they are ok)
Has the eibach anti-sways too
CF Hood
CF Trunk
Skunk2 knob
Wheels were some cheap ass $915 shipped rims with tires in a mesh style.

The Supra:
-Stillen Front
-Veilside Sideskirts and rear
-Custom Hatch
-CF hood (used to be fiberglass with a window but that was ripped off by some wind when the car was in front of my house. Sad day.. Going to try to have it fixed but need someone really good with fiberglass)
-Custom widebody
-Everything is molded
-Intake hole in the one headlight
-body color matched rims
-Black leather with red stitching seats (redid them myself)
-TRD steering wheel (logo taken from wheel and embroidered into seats)
-body Color matched roll cage
-body color matched dash panels
-Avic-Z3 headunit
-Custom molded trunk with 2 subs and 2 speakers
-And some other things here and there that i'm forgetting

If you search on cardomain, you will see the supra there since i'm not sure about the rules for posting links yet...

you need 3 posts to post pics or links... and you have 3 posts :)

and now that you describe the Supra it sounds familliar from SF... if so its definitely an acquired taste, but if you love it then thats all that matters.

i searched your name and found the supra on cardomain....Def not everyone's taste, but I can respect the work put in, although you bought already it like that, right??

Any pics of the CL?

I did buy the Supra like that but I myself redid the seats, dash, radio, wiring, and some other interior parts as well as the hood and some other things...

The Supra:

I promise, I have more of these pics. Just on my laptop (BTW, the girl on the left was much better looking in person than in the pic. but you know what they say, the camera adds like 10, err i mean 40+ lbs...)

I saw the car on eBay and contacted the guy who had it. I made the whole deal outside of eBay and just finalized it on eBay to make it a "legal" contract. I changed the seat covers, the steering wheel, repainted the dash, bought the Avic-Z3 to put in it and thats how she sits now...

Oh and the 2J under the hood has 10 miles on it... The car itself has 56,800 original miles.

The CLS is here:

Any power numbers on the car? Theres definately been alot of hard work put into that bad boy. The acura looks pretty good too.

What part of PA are you in? It seems like alot more supra owners have popped up in the area as of late.

I'm in the Lancaster area myself. Hope to see you at some future meets.

I'm from Sinking Spring which is outside of Reading.

As for power numbers, none yet as I have it only set to 8psi on the new motor. Since it has 10 miles on it, I dont want to push it too hard quite yet.

I did however turn up the boost when I got it (this was when I didnt know how the boost controller worked) and pushed 16psi. I broke the 285 pirelli tires loose very easily in first and second. As for whats done to the 2J, its got HKS 272 degree cams, Ferrera 1mm oversized amd hollowed valves, dual valve springs, 5 angle valve job (no, not 3 angle) polished head, coated CP pistons at 2 over, Lunati rods, lightened aluminum crank, modified oil pump (pushes 100psi of oil at 3k rpm which surprised the hell out of me), fidanza flywheel and an F1 racing 6 puck clutch (dont recomend this unless you love a very very small engagement point) oh and the block is also 2 over... I dont remember who made the piston rings.

Still on stock twins but that will change in about a year when I break her in fully

I'm going to the show in Harrisburg this Saturday for those who want to see it in person... Pictures do not give the color justice.

well sure sounds like the engine is ready to go... those cams with the stock turbo are a hell of a mismatch but if you're going with a big turbo then they'll work out nicely.
and like others said on SF, one thing i really like is the rear lip molded in... i could go for one of those :)

You know, I was trying to figure out where else I saw your user name.. Its good to see you here too.

Yeah, I know its mismatched but what do you expect from someone who runs out of money mid project. He had a manifold that he bought for a single and was piecing a kit together but sold it on eBay the same time he sold the car to me, or so he says. Either way, if he didn't sell it, i would have taken it and got the rest of it together myself.

As for a mismatch, I THINK that it still has the original fuel pump (i don't know as it is kinda loud and you can hear it outside of the car when its in the ON position. Kinda sounds like a high flow after market pump more than a failing one), upgraded injectors, but still the stock fuel rail and lines.

All this will be checked out and changed if needed when the its time to put the single in. Oh, and I'm going big, just don't know how big exactly. Thinking about somewhere in the 750hp range if not a bit more.

Nice, if you've got the motor done already and you know thats good then you've got the most expensive part taken care of already. Where are you roughly in PA? There are some really knowledgeable Supra shops around luckily who you could get in touch with about the power stuff when the time comes. You can always post any questions here as well, there are actually quite a few Supra owners on TST and some of them know quite a bit.
If you can hear the pump its most likely a Walbro, they are kind of loud. The stock injectors are purple in color so you could try to check that out in your bay. It wouldn't make sense to go with upgraded injectors in a factory rail so I dont know, but its possible. It also wouldn't make to much sense to upgrade fuel on stock turbos, but again, who knows.

Like I said, the guy ran out of money for a single conversion which is a shame but oh well...

What color would the injectors be on a jdm motor? I'm not sure if it was swapped or not as i have gotten different answerers from a lot of people.

And another question. when you have the car in the on position (key in ignition turned to on position with engine off), do you hear fuel rushing through the rail?

TROLL
08-05-2008, 05:50 PM
Yeah the fuel pump primes when you turn the key to the on position. You should mostly hear the hum of the pump though, I wouldnt expect to hear any kind of fluid rushing sound. The only time i've heard that was right after an injector install when the lines were all dry. Might be normal with a supra though, I dont have experience with turning the key and having anything happen yet :(.
and I'm not sure what color the jdm injectors are, didnt realize you had a jdm motor... if thats the case its much more likely that you have a walbro because your original n/a fuel pump probably wouldnt be able to keep up with the turbo motor. On your throttle body does it say "TCS" or "Traction..."
Hmm I'm not sure how else to tell externally... the manifold could be changed, the injectors could be changed.

Thats the thing. I'm not sure if its the JDM motor or not. I think it isnt, but I might be wrong. As for the tb, its actually missing that plate. I was thinking about putting something there but not sure what quite yet. I'll see what people on SF have to say..
