Geico.
My cars aren't worth full coverage and I'm only paying $1200/year for 2 old cars in a suburban residence(city = double).
Should I go to Mecury or the other "state minimum" insurance commercial I always see?

go through a broker.
i.e. for me:
progressive- 2000 civic no claims ever. $1400 /year
now with help of broker and using peerlress insurance (under liberty mutual) - 2000 civic and 2003 evo better coverage both for $1455 a year
pm me if you want a good contact

You realize that having minimal coverage means lawyers come after you when you run out of coverage right?
Minimal coverage is for people who have no money and no assets for lawyers to go after.
I have TONS of coverage becuase the difference between BI limits of like 15/30 and 100/300 and PD limits of 5 and 50 aren't that crazy. I'd rather be over insured than under.
With that being said just shop around ifyou want cheaper pricing. Esurance has some good rates.

yeah my broker said to up those limits like you did and it only affected my policy like by $5 bucks a month.
however when esurance first came out they sucked
they didn't cover my civic car audio theft cuz it was parked in front of my house (they said deal with home owners insurance WTF)

Off Topic: First, see if your thread belongs anywhere else on the forum. Then, stop and think about it a little more. If after your own personal double-screening it it doesnt belong anywhere else, put it here. Nothing automotive. Ever.

Unless its stock (i.e from the factory) and unless you pay more for aftermarket parts on your insurance it won't be covered. Things like audio equipment usuaully isn't covered by auto insurance but home owners.
