anyone ever have to use their gap insurance?

i had an accident with my bike and it was totalled..no worries i wasnt on it nor was anyone else. lets just say she committed suicide.

im still in the process with the insurance company and everything is going good and theyve been a huge help. just wondering if anyones had to use it and if they are a huge pita or not.

Thankfully I have never had to use it but I've heard it's not that big of a deal when you do need it. Maybe after you go through it you should post up and let us know. I've always paid for it, it would be nice to know what the excperience is when you need it.

I've never had to use my Gap insurance either. And now that I think about it I forgot I had it and I owe WAY less than my vehicle is worth so I should probably cancel that!

Gap is simple. just contact the dealership or credit union you went through to purchase the Gap. They will file all the papers you need. You'll just have to sign off on the Gap claim form and a Mileage statement.
