Took the hatch down to Maple Grove today. My drag radials were being a bitch so I figured what the hell I'll just go on street tires.

Yeah, that was a bad idea.

First run. Left on 5K anti-lag, figured I'd just slip the clutch to hell and hope for the best. Yeah, no dice. Insta burnout, shifted into 2nd and that just continued my burnout. Put it into 3rd and surprisingly the car still had trouble getting good traction. Basically I was spinning to the 1/8.

60'.... 2.906 (Ouch lol)
330'.. 6.858 (double ouch lol)
1/8... 9.803 @ 88.02mph
1/4... 14.195 @ 114

2nd run, left at about 4K half throttle. Car bogged, spun, lovely 2nd gear synchro wouldn't let me get it into 2nd. Finally got the car into 2nd, bogged, spun again. Put it into 3rd, bogged, on/off spinning and finished up the run and decided that was enough. Got the timeslip and LOLed again.

60'.... 2.515 (blah)
330... 7.018
1/8... 10.267 @ 82
1/4... 14.799 @ 111

I think I need stickier tires. 114 trapspeed is pretty good though.:)

Put some slicks on it. I went 12.1 @ 112 in my hatch consiently. And went 12.6 with dr on.

Yikes, I would have pulled my hair out!! All you need is traction.Did you only get 2 runs in, what was the track like as far as getting runs in?

I could have probably gotten in 5+ runs easily, but I just didn't see the point in "striving" for a 13, lol.

I bought radials and wheels used. The wheels have the wrong offset for the car or something because the tires rub the fenders pretty bad. I didn't have time to play with the ride height so I just went on street tires, granted I didn't think it'd be that bad.

Trailer and slicks and a gut job coming soon.:-p

Yeah man, you really need some good tires... 325whp 14.7 would be like running my 185whp 14.4 gti. Beater! haha : D

What track do you go to??

I had the same issues on street tires, its not even fun. The best 60ft i could pull was 2.25, soon enough i hope to be getting a set of slicks, run higher psi in the tire and hope not to bust an axle

on street tires thats not bad. but drags or slicks would def. make all the difference! What do you normally run in the quarter?

you can't leave of the anti lag unless u have very sticky tires, but then u have to worry about breaking stuff. If u on street tires or radials u will have to slip the clutch.Just practice somewhere but 114 is good i traped 113 so u got a low 12 sec trap speed as long as you get a good 60ft.

I personally like it, it's supposedly slower than most other tracks though.

114 is a nice trap. it'll definitely roll out with some nice rubber. I'm cursed by the 14's too haha

I pulled a 2.00 60ft on 185/60r14' all season street tires with my turbo se-r:-p, which resulted in a 13.0 @110mph. My problem was my clutch not my tires, because it slipped on every shift, so I should have ran maybe a 12.7 or so???

Anyway no more street tires for me. I am only running 205/55zr14" nitto's in the front for now on. I also upgraded my clutch to match! Looow 12's here I come!!

btw i think once I fix my bad injector you and I should line up! It looks like we are pretty evenly matched?? What do you think? I should be pushing about 300whp and 300wtq. in a 2400lb car Lmk......
