Ok i got a sirius in a package deal for some parts for my civic. where i live we have no and i mean NO radio stations worth listening to. and i get sick of listening to the SAME cds over and over again! so i got this unit i pretty much paid 5 bucks for it. I called them up today and they told me about all there deals and the one that the women kept pushing on me was 87 a month for the next 4 months and that gives me 3 years of radio. so i didn't tell her yes or no. i just pretty much told her i will call her back..lol aka no.
so i wanted to know if anyone else has it and if its any good? i listen to everything but country. she told me it has 130 stations now. more then the 8 i get now :D

Sirius is definitely awesome and addicting. XM is the same way.
If you have it, go for it. You will enjoy it.
sirius is great, way better than xm, u will find alot of new bands, and old songs u forgot existed. u should be able to get it for 13 a month or 500 bucks for a life membership
u get all kinds of rock, alt, hardcore, punk, old school rap, new rap, 90s rock, 50s, 60s, 70, 80 and 90s music, top 40 music, about 4 channels of techno/dance, reggae, world music, a few comedy channels u get the idea, its worth it, not sure about the plan she was trying to sell u though

I have sirius and have had it for a few years now. I got it a few months before Stern came over.
I love it! I do a lot of driving for work and I can always find a good song on one of the channels. If you are a Howard Stern fan they replay the show all day long so if you miss some of the show you can catch it later. On some of the radios you have the option to save an artist and any time they play a song on any of the channels it will alert you, same with a favorite song.
Also Sirius and XM just merged into now whats called Sirius XM. Anyway they said that it will still be separate services but in the future they may merge channels. For example Sirius doesnt have MLB but XM does. They will make it so Sirius customers will get MLB in the future.
In other words, get it, you will be happy.

HA HA! I love the "System of a Down: Toxicity" booey parody the best. Baseball had always been the only thing keeping me from going with Sirius Sat radio. Once they get MLB, it's on!

I love it. The 'rents got XM around the same time as I got Siruis, and personally, for hte music I listen to, Siruis has a lot more options (rock, alt, metal, that stuff). That, and I can stream it at work online as well.

Love Sirius. No reception problems in my area that I have ever experienced. Great channels. If you keep on channel on all the time it will get repetitive but not as bad as the play lists on terrestrial radio. Area 38, Boombox Lithium, and Backspin is what I spend the most time listening too.

First of all, congrats on getting a operator who speaks English!
Also, if you have anyone you know who has Sirius already you can have them add you to their family plan and its only $8 per month! All you need is the units ID # and call them up and give them your buddies account info and they add you to the plan for half off.
Clean install FTW!
