You came up last night in a conversation with a bunch of guys.

Kinda funny actually. I completely and utterly missed a female joining the forums. I'm ashamed.

My avatar is not me. It's another forum member. I called a mod my b!tch, and he put it on me. :-p

We love to joke around. You should drive those couple hours from exton to richboro for a meet one time. :-p

*edit*
DAYUM! You need some strut/springs on that puppy. If you're gonna autocross regularly and it's your DD, just get some KYB-GR2's or some SpringTech struts, and get the H&R Sports. Only about 1.5" lowering, and it offers the stiffest suspension for the S-series without going to the H&R race (unstreetable) or a full CSS coilover. It should help with that massive roll and no doubt you'll be able to grab corners a LOT better.

when do you meet and where? i'm not opposed to driving :) and should i be worried that i "came up" in conversation? at least it took almost two days for the leg humping to start... luckily i didnt post any pictures of me

why would i need suspension for the saturn? besides, next spring i hopefully will be able to run in a street mod subaru rs that belongs to my boyfriend... it should be fun, if we get it to run over the winter. i go to as many auto-x as time and money allow, so far we have made it to two events in the area as spectators, and will hopefully be able to make the event in hershey as well.

If you look at your cornering, the bodyroll is killing your conering speed...not to mention risking doing what the last guy in a stock Saturn with sticky tires did during an autox. Plus, it'll ride a bit better, and your corners can be taken faster, reducing your times.

As for the guy with the stock saturn with sticky tires:

http://www.cashmo.org/2000/saturn.jpg

Landed it, but blew the strut through the strut mount.

The body roll is not what is killing her cornering speed - trust me ;)

The last thing the saturn needs right now is upgrades - yes "better" tires would be nice, but it drives well as it is right now... slowly, but well:

in any case - if she is interested in going faster in the saturn there are places where her money would be much better spent than on parts. Or, she can wait until the subaru is here and running again ;)

I’ll bet you 5 bucks that guy had a set of soiled Jockeys after that.

Ooo...is that HER oil cloud back there in front of the other car? Nice one! (no, I'm not kidding. That's normal, and mine aren't usually that good of clouds)

Yeah, she could always do a head swap and turn it to a DOHC for +24hp. There is sooo much she could do for so cheap to get that thing to be a beast.

Then again, if she's still rolling on Affinities, that's a corner killer too, hahaha!

Either way, I welcome both of you to the site. If ya ever want or need to know about some performance saturn stuff, you can always find me floating around. I think it's awesome to find a female autox-er...especially in a car that can cross really well for being FWD.

actually that's not oil - it's rear tire smoke. I didn't bother to adjust the rer drums prior to going out on track, so they were locking up prematurely - made for some exciting moments under hard breaking ;)

the car actually burned much less oil than I expected that day, considering under "normal" driving it burns it fast enough that i consider skipping oil changes, since the oils pretty much all replaced before the next change anyway ;)

I was burning all 4 quarts in 1100 miles.

I just fixed that problem, and I have enough to do one more engine, if ya can deal with not being able to drive the car for 12 hours or so, and feel like doing an oil change.

the car is our #1 transportation - it's not SO bad yet that 'm worried about it, abuot a quart every 1000, so about an oil change every oil change :)

she stopped putting synthetic in it and it calmed down a lot too, so hopefully it'll hold out.
