What time did you show up? A little more was there than Diverse when I showed up...I got there around 7:45...The party in the pub was pretty cool. People had a good time. All together I'd say about 20 or so rides..Not bad for a first time meet. But Just like everything else in Delaware, the car scene around here is crazy slow because people refuse to get a long and support...Our state is too small for all that hating non-sense. THANK GOD we have cool neighboring states like Jersey, Pa, and Maryland that knows how to keep the tuner/custom auto scene hot. They have their inner-state beefs too, but they seem to get past the childish BullSh**t when it comes to keeping the car sene at the levels it should be within their states.

I was there from about 7 till 9ish, I didn't go in for the contest though. I was the blue cav sitting down a couple spots from the diverse cars.

Okay, cool...When I finally got there I parked in the row across from ya (The Silver Strat R/T...Red Dodge/Falken Logos)...If word spreads and people just come out to hang instead of worrying about who's throwing the meet, its a pretty good spot to help out the slow Delaware scene.

Yeah I tried telling people, some members from scikotics showed up and saw that it wasn't a big turnout and they left. I was kind of dissapointed, but the challenger SRT-8 more than made up for it in my book.

The problem with the tuner scene in DE is that there are way too many haters and its not going to change any time soon

yea, i know alot of guys that wont come out for any car shows or meets because they hate on anything that isn't american muscle. i'm into all types of cars, so i enjoy going to all the local car shows and meets. unfortunately, i am unable to show up at the Street Trenz stuff because they hold it on a thursday night, usually in Elkton and i have to work the next day. but if they are going to start having it at Thurston's.... i'll start showing up.

i hate DE cause im in lower DE and these ****ing mexicans and even whites and blacks with their ****ty civics and whatever other POS they get for cheap from the auction and jb welded a autozone muffler on it...god...kid today looked just like steve earkle (sp?) had to speed up to get beside me in his spray paint civic hatch with a muffler. i looked over he was like undressing me with his eyes. i downshifted to pull into the bank and he downshifted thinking i wanted to race...sure enough i pulled outta the bank and he was pulled over about a half mile up the road by like 2 cops i seen them go by when i pulled into the bank but didnt think nothing of it... i laughed and waived as i went by. other then that i see some nice cars passing through though wrxs, evo and even hondas.

It seems like in delaware it's every person for themselves. Not many people seem to get along in delaware, I guess it seems like alot of people think that their cars are better than everyone elses. I wish that we could get some more instate car shows going on in delaware with some nice quality cars. If people could just learn to respect everyones work no matter what the car is then it would be a lot different. I enjoy checking out different cars and trucks old and new.

Yeah, its just a Stupid, immature shame. Well, just to let you know my team and myself have never and will never think that way. Its funny that we go against the grain by simply getting along with EVERYONE that shares this great lifestyle we're all involved in. Once most of the car peeps in Delaware grow up and realize that...The scene here will be a lot better. Ever notice the meets the old school muscle, classic, and hot rod enthusiasts have here in delaware. They're meets are HUGE!..HeII, the one they have in the Fox Run Shopping center packs 80 to 100 rides. Their meets are bigger than most of our car shows! They're all there chilling, hanging out, and admiring the work of their peers. Its like a big custom car party. Even if they don't like the work of their peers, they still admire their peers because they're all in the SAME lifestyle. This is one time were the import/tuner crowd should definitely take a page out of its elder's book.

Exactly! Down in MD they have meets like every friday night and people just admire each others work and chill and hang out. I was baffled haha cuz nothing like that goes on here. We've got a good lil crew that we roll to shows with and we're very supportive of each other and each others cars. I'm glad SZ is trying to get a tuner scene going here in DE...hate all you want...we don't want the haters there anyway

What about trying to organize something like that on a saturday or even possibly a friday evening. Then if people wanted they could meet up then head over to cecil county and race. Need to find a way to get it spread out in the open a lil more and make it more enjoyable. I have seen a lot of nicely built cars in delaware and am sure that if people could pull their heads out of their asses that they could get meets like the 3rd saturday cruises at fox run. Hell maybe we could start getting in to that some and get some tuner cars recognized as well so they car start getting some positive attention. A car enthusiast doesn't care what kind of car it is as long as it's done tastefully.

Whats up Matt?!...No, I didn't know that was you...Hows it going Bro?

I totally agree with all of you that are cool enough to look past all the bullsh*t and want to get the tuner/custom auto scene stronger in our area. It CAN be done...Its as simple as just making it happen. I'm down for what ever. 01Cav if you want to take the figure head role and lead out in this you have my support 100%! Maybe we can get some of the Closer Jersey and PA crews to come out...Who knows, but my company and car club are down with ANY individual, crew or company that is doing what they can to help our scene.

I am bound and not able to do a whole lot due to health issues within the family, thats my main concern but I would be up for some meets if anyone wants to do them. I cannot garantee that I can make all of them but some local stuff I could do. I was down at sound of tristates show in dover but did not enter my car. My kit wasn't ready so I don't want to show a stock looking cav with a carbon fiber hood and wheels being the only visual exterior mods. There are alot more mods done that alot of people wouldn't recognize like my almost 2" drop, Z24 spoiler, Z24 front bumper, Painted mirrors, painted door handles, Z24 bowtie on the trunk.

i missed the dover show but took my s10 up to the claymont show but didnt enter it. the dover show is usually better then the claymont one. i dont really take my mazda anywhere just for the fact that i get revved at and people ride my ass in cars that are like a million times faster then mine lol. i just drive it to and from work and then drive my s10s any other time unless they are tore apart of course.

I am doubting that there will be anything through street trenz itself because the first meet and greet seemed too be such a flop. Maybe if there was some more notice it might work out better????? Hard to say though.
