Not only is the thing free and educational and all the other good stuff, it is also fun beyond belief. To me who has never rode a motorcycle longer than 1 block without getting out of first gear this was an eye opener. One not so fun thing I learned is not to trust the neutral indicator and neutral in general. My bike jumped into gear out of neutral without notice after idling for a few minutes... Also I think the clutch on my bike is toask  Good thing it wasn't my own...

:iagree:

I did it back in april before i bought my gixxer and it is very helpful and fun you definately learn some cool things. And it sounds like you had the same bike i did. It wouldnt go into nuetral for me and then when it was in nuetral the light wouldnt light up! so i just played with the clucth till it was in there lol

MSP FTW

the issue wasn't finding neutral..it was that after sitting on the bike for a few minutes (by which point I completely let go of the bars and was just chilling waiting for my turn the bike would suddenly end up in first...with the light still on.

Ahh, I want to take the local one here so bad because I want a bike. But I'll be 100% honest, I've rode a dirt bike once and somehow didnt fall, but I would probably piss myself on a street bike.

Do take the course at the joint reserve base in willow grove. Even after the first hands on class I feel a lot more confident riding on the street...

If you take the course in the near future watch closely one of the very last video aids...the biker has to stop for a guy pushing a.....DSM.

The course is definitely a good time. Even if you have rode before. The wife and I took it a few years back, it was actually her idea which was surprising. But good times non the less, and at the end you get your license. Plus it is always fun seeing a 6'2 pushing 300lb woman doing 50 foot figure 8's and loosing control, riding up a hill and tanking it. Ahh yesss, good times! Enjoy the course.
