I just finished up ordering 2 tickets to Mindless Self Indulgence from ticketmaster. The tickets were $18 each but the after all the charges that ticketmaster tacks on the total came to $57.75 without a shipping charge :bigeek: . $36 for 2 tickets and $21.75 in convenience charges... doesn't sound very convenient to me. If I wasn't so buisy this month I would have just went to the Troc one weekend and picked up the tickets ($5 in gas + $3 in tolls = a hell of a lot cheaper than this scam). From now on I will do whatever I can to avoid using the ticketmaster service, they charge more than scalpers.
But on a good note the concert is going to kick major ass, and 2 weeks later it's off to Nine Inch Nails :supz:
almost every's macy's has a ticketmaster outlet in them so if you have cash you can bypass the shipping, CC, and convience charge.

I thought the outlets also have convience charges? But I have no idea if they are as high as ordering online.

they do but like he said you at least save a little on shipping. ticketmaster has always been a huge ripoff
and when you think about it, with ecommerce,.. there is absolutely NO NEED for ticketmaster. these venues couls easily sell their tickets online without ticketmasters help.

you might want to try the actual band's websites. i've had some great experiences with some of the bands (i.e.; reel big fish) pre-buying some of their own tickets to sell to their fans, sans 'convenience' charges... just a thought for next time!

Try Ticketweb.com or stubhub.com next time. I know alot of shows are only sold through ticket master but its always worth a shot. Ticketweb is much cheaper, and stub hub is ebay like and all they charge is shipping, but i think e-mail is available, and 10% of cost.
