I was up there on Sunday to watch with a friend of mine. Neither of us pre-registered so we didn't race. It was overcast most of Sunday but there were some good times set. I saw your CRX there as well.

You could of registered on site if you were there early enough.

CPR puts on some great events. I just need to learn to drive my car better, and get my new shocks and springs. I was still on factory shocks and springs.

Ahh, I must have misread the site. They said register by July 3rd, but maybe that was just pre-registration. Anyway I didn't get there till about 10:30.

I was surprised at how many mustangs were there. Most of em did a good job too. There were a few Corvette's, a Lotus Elise, a few SRT-4's, 5-6 Miata's, and a spattering of other stuff like S2000's WRX/STI's, etc. It got windy there for awhile. They were joking that the red x's on the runway would blow off and a plane would land at one point. I'm going to try to compete at the next one on the 10th if I'm available.

The only difference in the car from the last event at Bloomsburg is the tires... yes they made that much of a difference!

CPR gets a nice arrangement of cars.. sometimes the weirdest stuff will show up out there. Its been a good 2 years since I was out there for an event and I have always wanted to go to the Cone Killer Classic. Just the whole 2 day event makes it that much better, esp since I have a 2 hour ride each way.

Ahh, yeah that would make it nicer if you live far away like that. I'm in Bellefonte so it's like 20 minutes for me, depending on if I take the main road there or the really nice back roads. It was awhile since I was out to watch but it definitely made me want to compete again. Unfortunately the stock tires on my car suck. I'll eventually get something stickier, something like a Bridgestone RE-01R, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec or Falken Azenis RT-615. Till then the RE050A's will suffice I suppose.

EDIT: Wasn't there a Buick Grand National there on Sunday? There was a Turbocharged Camaro too.

No didn't see any there on Sunday. I actually just sold an amp to a guy yesterday that drove a black Stealth R/T though. Not that it's in any way related to the topic, lol.

There was a red one around my area, but I haven't seen it for awhile so not sure what's up with it. I don't tend to see many of them around here at all.

Tires will make a big difference. The best thing to do is get a second set of wheels if you can.

I believe it was a Buick Regal, not a Grand National, and I think the black Camaro was supercharged. It sure had an interesting noise.

Nope. Thats why you should of been there!

I have my eye on a set of Enkei's JS+M 17x7.5 48mm (15.4lbs) but the trouble is I also need a set of winter tires too. Unfortunately they don't make many 17" snow tires that I could reuse my stockers so I'd need to buy a third set of 16's for that.

And yes, that Camaro sounded odd at idle. Sorta like metal was rubbing against metal. It was quick though.

I'm currently looking for a nice lightweight set of 15x7 wheels. There are plenty out there and not even too expensive to buy new, but I'd love to find a used set. Right now I don't need them since these Saturn wheels will work but if I ever come across a used set I will likely buy them.

I use my stock 14x whatever 91 CRX Si wheels to daily drive, with 185/60/14 tires I get from Harrys U Pull It for really cheap.

I have some 13" steel rims that I will put snow tires on for the winter.
