NFG in Hatfield w/ a GLH, Taco, and other junk

Hey gang,

Been lurking here for a bit and checking things out. Thought i'd introduce myself.

My names Mike and i've been wrenching on junk for about 10yrs or so. I cut my teeth on Turbo Dodge cars and then drifted into some other stuff. My noteable rides from the past include a JR blown Miata, C4 Corvette, and a handful of Turbo Dodges, a Spirit R/T, a GLH, a couple Shadows, and my current GLH.

Current daily is an '03 Tacoma S-Runner i just picked up a few weeks ago.

Welcome. I am just on the other side of 309 from you. Used to have a GLH, fun car. Loved smoking the tires all the way through first gear and doing handbrake turns in it. Also had fun racing 944s and beating them.

test and tune. How loud will you be? I have never had a problem with the industrial park. Its empty at night. But its like a mile away from the police station. Ive never seen a cop in there but if you cruise down then back up and its empty then you can see whoever comes in the park. Plus you can turn off of it and be on 309 in 20 seconds

MG doesn't look too bad. I just helped put a new top on one and let me tell you pay someone lol. It was a pain in the ass.

some dumb broad sideswiped me on the turnpike, during a rainstorm. Jammed the rear tire into the fender, induced a spin, slammed the center divider, then got hit again by another dumb broad who was behind me:bigeek:

this was a few years ago. It was my first really great car, and still the best car i've ever owned. I only owned it for about 8 months. It still bums me out. If i didn't have the MG i'd probably get another Miata. The MG fits the bill pretty good, tho. Just needs a good dose of hp to match teh 140hp or so the supercharged Miata was puttin' out.

i had the pleasure of owning an '85 GLH, the wonderful... h.o. carbed one. Stock w/ 49k on it... i regret selling it... was wanting to make it into an autocross car. There was a few tricks you could do to the carbed motor. Not much... but enough to bring the power up to around 140ish

Yep, its a GLH-T. Its got a GLHS top end, TII turbo, big NPR intercooler, seriously gutted, ebay coilovers, Kyb struts and AGX adj. shocks and some more odds-n-ends...

BTW, just ran a 14.02@97mph at Island Dragway yesterday. That was on its second ever pass down the dragstrip. Plenty of room to grow and get in the 13s. especially w/ my miserable 2.16 60ft times on drag radials...
