So I've been thinking about swapping a new motor into the integra. I was wondering what you guys think I should do. I would also be swapping the trans to a 5 speed. I'm looking for something not too expensive. If anyone knows of a shop that does swaps, let me know. I wont be swapping the engine until around November so I still have time to save up some more money.

what kind of price range are you looking at? is it eventually going to get boosted? is it a DD?

We've got some great vendors, I'd say check around there first. How many miles are on your LS? Is LS-vtec an option?

It will probably be a weekend car. It will get boosted in the future. I'm not sure about the price range yet. The car has 199xxx miles on it and I was actually thinking about an LS-vtec but I just wanna see what else is out there

the LS-vtec is the most unreliable swap, make sure if you do that, you have a very reputable shop do it for you.
if you are spending big bucks, the K is an awesome swap. H22 is possible, or just upgrade the gsr (b18c1) or the type-r (b18c5). not to mention their jdm counterparts. It all depends on what kind of price range you are looking at.
a boosted k20/24 hybrid.... of course you are looking at... 15k+ for that haha. Swapping to a manual isnt that hard, i just did my civic over winter break in my parents garage. But if you are engine swapping it will be even easier, just make sure you get all the parts first so you arent running around trying to find them last minute.

The best bang for your buck would be to swap in a fresh B18B and boost it. Youre lookin at about 2k to do that... plus tuning.

well an ls-v is only a unreliable motor if its not done correctly. if a shop was going to do it right and by right i mean swapping the pistons decking the block using the correct conversion kits etc it can be reliable and make good power. but as a few others have stated the best bang for your buck would be a boosted ls. that gives you a great deal of flexibility for power and reliablitly and so on. just my .02 cents

now that would be different you'd probably be the only guy with it too single cam integra and probably get better gas mileage since its a smaller engine not to mention you can get a sohc vtec block for cheap

If you're going to do the AWD thing keep the Bseries and use the CRV drivetrain.

Dumbest thing I read all day. Care to explain why an ls/vtec is the most unreliable swap?
