Mmmm....I bet it tastes as good as I've heard it smells.
I can already hear my engine crying.

Yes. GM-TEC works better than MMO (weakest) and SeaFoam (medium). TEC is the most volitile one you can use. It will destroy the plugs you have in there when you're done the piston soak, and it will destroy your oil, so you have to change it after you beat the crap out of it to make it stop smoking.

Comparisons we've already done over on TST.
Seafoam is great for unsticking rings and cleaning, don't get me wrong. Much much better than MMO.
TEC is just a better cleaner and great at unsticking rings. It's what 99% of dealerships use. This is just the GM equivalent because they no longer make the regular TEC. GM's is the same stuff.

You tell me of another substance you get put through your PCV line, gas tank, cylinders, oil, and combustion chamber?

I don't need all that. My lines are fine. My rings suck balls though.
For piston soaking and cleaning the chambers, TEC is better. It's what it was made for.
*edit*
and MMO can.

just and FYI... you don't want to necessarily use any type of carbon cleaner on them because with older motors... the carbon buildup on the rings helps keep the seal, and cleaning them off would probably affect compression

True, but usually, on the 150k engines that TSN'ers have done them on, it cuts down a ton on oil consumption, and fixes some compression issues. Of course, it's not a LOT of compression...
The one guy I was talking to said I might be able to get my 3rd back in the 200's with it. I'm mainly concerned about the 4qt every 1100 problem. He said it'll definitely fix that.
i ran a small amount of seafoam and it cleaned up my 1qt of oil buring right away.
looking to get a solid clean going soon, might try that stuff out.

The pontiac dealer up in Trevose stocks it. Bit of a drive, but good stuff. Check out the smoke thread for pics of mine.
It's like 6 bucks a can. Only takes 1 can. I can teach you a different method to use than most people do.
