-how do you record a video? Which service do you have? Cingular doesn't have that feature enabled on the phone only T-mobile does. So you have to "unlock" it.
-can you get free skins? Yes
-how do you get on aim? i have a s/n but everytime i sign on it doesnt go through... maybe i need a new screen name?! Do you have Internet/WAP enabled through your service carrier? If you have a media package type you should have no problems
-how do you get on the internet? Depends on the service you have. With Cingular it's called MEdia Net. Just FYI, if you do not have a data/media package you get charged by bytes that are downloaded/uploaded.

Let's put it this way, now that I figured out how to edit certain features and "unlock". I am in LOVE with this phone. I just did a firmware upgrade that upped the megapixels of the the camera/video and also loads java scripts a butt load faster. Can't complain about 9MB of storage either. I must have at least 10-15 songs on here now along with 5 themes, screen savers, etc and only using up 41% of my total alotted space.

OOOO! And I also figured out the address book to sort contacts and pretty much do whatever I want with it. Pretty cool phone once you get to know what you are doing.

sandra, did u ever get the USB cord for it? i think u already told me u did, i forget. but i went to best buy in oxford valley and nobody there knew what i was talking about. they all seemed like idiots. But yea, help me find the usb cord!!

Ask 03tarmacblack I sold him my old Nextel that I hooked the freak up. I had anything and everything you could do with the i860. It's hard to explain online because a lot of this stuff is what is called SEEM editing. That's the key to unlocking a lot of features on the phone.

John, yes I've had the min-usb cable for ages. Check eBay if all the stores give you a blank stare.

Can't do that that I know of....unless you type in their last name first when you enter then into your address book. As for video I have to show you guys either in person or over AIM. It's a very long process if you don't know what you are doing..

i use apple iSync which syncs address book and iCal to all your mobile devices. You can sort the neames anyway you want in Address Book. When i used to sync with my t616 it would pull each name in as a seperate card and your had organization options. you could also copy all the numbers and names only to the sim. and the good part was, once you saved them to sim, they wouldn't show up unless you selected that option. Since i am like OCDish with names and numbers, the razr has pissed me off since i got it. But anytime you have a chance, i would like to see how to do the other stuff with it.

Yea I hear ya, unfortunatley a lot of the motorola programs can't be used with motorola phones. For example when I had all those programs for Nextel (WebJal, Iden, another version of phone tools) it would not read or do anything with my RAZR (also made by motorola). I can check the Motorol Phone Tools which lets you sync pretty much everything on the phone to the your PC to see if you can sort it that way since I am not too sure about how to do it on the phone itself. The only thing I find rather annoying is that you can't do custom ring tones/pictures with contacts from the SIM. So, this means that you pretty much have to have all your contacts entered in twice.

Dude, you need like 7 different drivers in order for it to recognize your phone. The only two I understand are for charing it from your PC and the USB Motorola Modem to upload/download stuff.
