There has been some talk about where future meets are going to be but post #28 IS the winner (which I cut, edited and pasted below from dolphinS4's posts). So find us all there this Thursday, starting at 7pm!

Btw, a big thanks to Mike, the owner of the Works (Fresh Works) at the Cross Roads Shopping Center, for the invite. Him and his wife are expecting soon... congrats to them!

Btw, I've a got a buddy from HS who owns New Madison Restaurant and the stores and parking lot around him in Levittown on RT 413 that might be able to take care of us. He is a real good guy and big time car nut and his place has a parking lot big enough for us. There are a bunch of food joints there as well, a Dunkin Donuts, and a Gibbies Ice Cream place (edited, I thought it was a DQ) across the street.

(edited) I just spoke to him and he says the only shop open there at night is the bar for now so we might be better off hanging out somewhere else considering he won't be able to be there to ward off any complainers.

Ok well this is second hand from another tst member but the owner of the property is dying and her lawyer was given power of attourney over the property. And he is a dick and the guy who rents the steak place doesn't wanna buy the lot for 1mil from the lawyer... so he closed.

Is this the supermarket behind Chickie and Pete's on the BLVD. Because that place would be great, too. The muscle car guys already hang out there on Sundays and they don't have any problems. I'm sure we could pull off a Thursday night thing there as well as long as we don't misbehave.

It's probably just a mile or two further from the turnpike exit and a lot closer to I-95 than Absolute Steaks.

no, this is the ACME in morrisville, if you take Rt 13 down from bristol to morrisville. They have a small car show there once in a while, and that's never a problem, so I'll let y'all know what comes of it...if any moderators want to PM me and give me specific info to help push this, let me know

You are the owner of one of the stores in the lot, or you own the entire shopping center? If you own the steak and hoagie shop, the landlord still may not be cool with 50+ cars parked in the lot just "hanging out." Regardless of what anyone on this board tells you, not everyone who comes to the meets buys something. I don't want us to all show up and get turned away by the cops because the supermarket called the cops. Know what I mean?
I just want to be sure that we will be cool before making this a definite.

I am the owner of " The Works.' The landlord is actually on-site (office is around back)and I have a great relationship with them. As long as the group is well behaved, ie. no burn-outs or tons of trash on ground, we will not have a problem with any of the tenants. The parking lot in front of my end of the center has about 200 spots which are pretty much unused at the times the meet takes place.

I have a great relationship also with Northhampton PD and will give them a heads up on what will be happening, but also let them know to not hold back if they see anyone out of line. I will not jepordize this realationship with the PD or the landlord for anyone.

I've been in this buisness for some time now and realize what I am getting myself into, so don't worry about that, just behave is all I ask.

I'll even talk to the owners of the D-D and see if they can extend some sort of discount or coupons to the group, but no guarentees on that. There is also a Pizza Hut sit down place here also.

As for everyone not buying something, thats fine, I totally understand that. I actually don't wish to see 40 people enter my place all at once on a Thursday night anyway, if your in the food biz you understand what I am saying.
The main issue here, or anywher for that matter, is the behavior of the group. If everyone is cool, there will not be a problem on my end.

This is definitely the best idea. Even if Absolute opens back up, it'd be nice to mix things up...go somewhere with light and more/better choices for food. Man, now I'm mad that I'm stuck in Baltimore...

The works is in the crossroads plaza right off 2nd street pike. I was a member of the Northampton FD for 7 years and i still talk to those guys all the time. I think that the parking lot is huge, the lighting is actually not bad, and the Works was one of my favorite places to eat even though I used to work for Lees ;)

Our name is actually the "Fresh Works" now due to franchising rules and goverment rules believe it or not, but we're usually better known as Steak and Hoagie Works.

We have seating for 40+ right now with more coming in a couple weeks, D-D has an additional 40+, and then there's Pizza Hut with at least 40.

This place would be sweet. But there is one problem i see. There is kids hanging out there all the time. Ask Pocket Rocket, karl and anthony with the s13, there was about 30 cars with kids there on the night of the scavenger hunt. But that was a friday....


All in all, i can vouch that this place has mass amounts of parking and isnt too hard to find. NJ drivers would have to take the bypass to newtown-richboro rd, then make a right onto ... i forget the st name, but its like less then 5 minutes from the bypass. not hard to find at all.

For anyone that hasn't hung out there in the parking lots at night, usally towards the end of the weeks, me and the local groups of people hang around there. We have been doing it for months now, and the cops and owners of the place have NEVER given us any problems. I can think of only one time the cops told us to leave because DD (aka Dunkin Donuts) on a friday night closed for some odd reason. Because nothing else was open at the time, saw no point for us to be there. A know a few girls in DD that are cool and they hook you up with free donuts. They usally do double whatever you buy. So if you buy 4, you get 8 (depends on person). I also have a few buddies that work in "The Works". The food is great there, and the service is pretty fast (I had no clue dolphinS4 was the owner). Have you parked your car outside the place a few times? I have to say there is one that looks just like yours. Oh yeah if you are into wings, the wings there are massive! You guys can hang out in the parking lot without any problems, however if you are going to do any crazy stuff, best make sure no cops are around. They usally stop in at DD or hang out at Wawa. Atleast you guys come Thursdays, because Fridays and Saturdays the lot is pretty filled with people hanging out.

Any chance for discounts from "The Works"? :)

To be honest it is fine with me as long as they don't follow us when we leave we will be cool. I don't think him calling was bad thing at all. Didn't the absolute people call the cops to ask about us as well.

A lot of these cars don't have cats, have dark tint, etc etc etc.

We try to avoid cops as much as possible because a lot of the time, they're bored and wanna hassle kids with loud/dark cars. If they perform an on the spot check, a lot of people would be up ****s creek.

I have those mods too.

Listen, don't get all worked up over the cops in Northhampton, I have good relationship with them and as a courtesy, I gave them a heads-up. They are not ball busters unless you are looking for it.

As others have said in previous posts, there generally is a group of people hanging in this lot on any given night and the PD leaves them alone and sometimes even stops by, JUST TO TALK CARS. The only time that I'm aware there was a problem was when a mustang and a truck decided to stage a race on the Newtown bypass and were stupid enough to return to the lot. Thats it in the 2 years I've been here.

A large group of cars and young people is bound to attract the attention of the law, no matter where its held. Its up to the group as a whole to not give them anything to worry about.

Guys, understand cops are people too. You rub them the wrong way and they most certainly will get in your face. Otherwise, be cool and I'm sure they'll be cool, too.

And please realize, cops tend to remember people or cars that might have been problematic in the past. When I was younger I really didn't understand this and figured I could do stupid things and get away with it as long as I didn't get busted for it at that moment. Wrong!

Of course, if you think cops, in general, are out looking for you, there is a way around this, blend in and don't attract attention to yourself. Plain and simple.

And as a courtesy to Mike for putting in all this effort to find TST a new home to chill Thursday nights, if there is going to be any funny business...just have fun and carry on outside the township. :)
