Any mazdaspeed3 or 6 owners here?

I'm looking into these cars. I am aware the 6 is not being made anymore and it is the last year for the speed3. I just want to get some opinions about each of the cars from people who own or have owned a speed3 or 6. What are the pros and cons? Thanks!

garrettej8 has a 3. i ride in it alot, and i can say it's a very fast car for what it is, and doesn't seem to have any quirks or nuances like most other cars. i'll let the owners tell the story though...

The MS6 is slower than an evo/sti, harder to make power out of, and will require an engine rebuild if you want a big turbo and more boost safely.

the 3's have a few problems, there's a flash/fuel pump tsb, rear mount recall and little nick nacks. the 08's shouldn't have any trouble and dealership will check them for you. alot of this is from what i read on the forums and how i look at it, the nick nacks are user error and lack of modding knowledge, but if there isn't problems there wouldn't be a forum for it. Im actually picking an 08 up today :o keepin it completely stock. Debated on the newer si sedan or a mazdaspeed 3 and for the bucks the 3 won, plus, its better than a transmission recall on the si.

i test drove one, awesome little car, it was a hard toss up between the wrx and the ms3.

Buddy of mine has a MS6, and loves it. Awesome car, not really too many quircks, though he did need a new clutch (more driver caused though). Either one of those cars though are great for what they are, and a pretty close match to a WRX. Not really in the Evo/STi class stock though.

id say its a closer match to the legacy than the lower end wrx..
nonetheless... its a better lookin car than the racer boy look evo.sti

very little aftermarket support... although there are folks now that are knockin on 400awhp territory...
stock.. my speed6 managed a 13.8 on the quarter mile if your gauge is the boring straight line..
