Anyone need Japanese parts (or JDM cars)?

hey everyone. im in Japan. will be here for the forseeable future.
if anyone has a particualr exhaust kit or brake kit or turbo etc etc that can only be found here and they really want it, hit me up. ill find it for ya and ship it over. (u pay for shipping of course).
also, used cars are pretty cheap here. i know shipping one over costs like 1-3 grand. plus legalizing it is another 1,000, but if u buy a supra for 8k here, thats a 10-12 k really nice supra.
i have been thinking of exporting cars to the states.. but don really have the capital for a full business venture.
so, i am offering my services to u guys here on the forum. if you have a specific JDM car you would like, i can find one and price it for you.
i also know a company in the states that routinely legalizes them.
MAN!! i saw a Skyline R34 Vspec II yesterday. BEAUTIFUL!! on a used dealer lot. it had been sold for a little over 30k USD.

You wont be able to export a car. Customs laws prevent most people from doing that.

You have a great opportunity being in Japan. Are you currently working there? Military? Reason I ask is because if I was there I'd try to take this idea alot further. I know personally a Buddy of mine flies back and forth to Japan to buy cars to be cut up and shipped for his Company elitejdm.com here in Philly. The trip isn’t cheap and its a pain to do. There’s tons of Companies doing this. You could be their go to guy in Japan that speaks English and knows the right stuff to get or get a list of what to get from them.

As for selling just a part or two I would get the parts first. Go to local junkyards and dig around. Nissan and Honda parts is pretty much where its at now with 4pot brakes, coil overs, any aftermarket, wheels, maybe seats, etc. things you can ship without it being considered freight. The car thing can be tricky because of laws unless the car is 18 years or older (if I’m correct). After 18 years it becomes exempt from all the BS and can be put on the road here in the US fairly easy.

You could even go to acouple junkyards, find the parts, get pricing and come back and ask who’s interested in it SHIPPED for X amount of dollars.
I think asking for a list from everyone will just make your head spin.

Also, I’m sure a lot of shops would be interested in this for small parts. You just have to prove yourself to be reliable and trustworthy.

i was a japanese studies major and have been meaning to get to japan since i was in high school. now im here. jajaja. and i LOVE IT! i am currently in Shichigahama, right next to Sendai. ill prob be back in the tokyo area in a month or two.. depends on if i get a place to share w some friends. currently i like it here cuz i live q a friend who doesnt pay rent (govt employee) and shichigahama is beautiful! not to mention like 15km across and surrounded by water (bridges to sendai) ocean ocean ocean and a canal. and tokyo is just fkn expensive! not that here is that much cheaper, but....
so im a photographer and a linguist (after 6 languages, i needed one that would be a challange.. and it IS!jajaj).
i love JP cars and food (and girls...who love my hair, so all is good). so i dont think ill be leaving anytime soon. maybe 2 yrs....
anyways. starting to get connectoins/contacts w local car enthusiasts. met a bunch in Sapporo, but, well, im not there anymore. saw the cooles 71 'Cuda EVER! hot pink and black! jajajaja. goin WAY to fast for me to take a pick (tear). they did reccomend joining Mixi. its apparently where they all congregate. any other sugfgestions by ppl who have JP knowledge/contacts would be cool. i had a racing contact in Tokyo.. but i cant seem to find it for the life of me.. drat..
ill have some nice modded car pics up in a bit. need to get a mem card reader.. always used the one on my laptop.. but i sold that..

Some of my friends were there last year. (sadly when I was in the "No more money into the 240" phase) They brought back tons of ****. 180 light bars that totaled out to like 13$us One brought back 4 Kei office coilovers, needed to be rebuilt but only set him back like 150$ us.

i am now done w college and finally in japan, where all the cars i love originate from (well.. except lotus). just being freiedly and trying to hook some fellows up.
ive dealt w scammers b4 (usually tring to buy my car).. there are ways to ensure payment and receipt of objects. but u know. u can always go to the big import stores and pay premium. be my guest, and see if theyve got what u need.

its funny tho cuz every other car here seems to be white too.

I understand if you were a regular poster on this site, but I (and im sure others) have not seen you around much so its kinda hard to believe you. Even if you were a regular, its still shady.
